I searched for threads to which I had posted over the last 3 days and noticed that my SN is the last post in 2 of them. That gives me a current thread kill rate of 18.2%.
This is not meant to be a contest, just something mundane, pointless, and shared.
Don’t look at it as killing a thread. See it as the completion of a thread; the addition of that final piece of info that requires no further discussion. I have.
Yes, Bobot has the right attitude on this topic. Final posts have satisfied all hungry curiosity, and paved the way to intelligence, peace, and prosperity on this board.
What would have been great if absolutely no one had responded to this thread.
But, now I risk being the final post, so there ya go.
On a serious note, I have been the final post a number of times, and i as well tell myself it’s because I did such a great job of presenting final arguments, that there is nothing left to say.
I seem to kill a lot, too. I thought maybe my sense of humor wasn’t coming across so I’ve tried to dial it back, but it’s pretty much anything I post. Maybe I’m just good at it.
According to search results, five out of the last 200 threads I’ve posted to, so about 2.5%. I think that’s an improvement.
Aye, same here…I can’t be sure if that means I’m just that cogent and insightful that no further comment is necessary, or just so annoyingly, clownishly irrelevant so as to be beneath dignifying with a response.
Or that I’ve accidentally just pissed enough people off, somehow, that I’m on a bunch of “Ignore” lists.
