They have other things?
Looks like a set up for a Blazing Saddles reference.

I really enjoy Long John Silvers. Of course, it’s all swimming in grease, but so damned tasty!
I only make it there once a year, probably. That’s a good thing.
Never seen an A&W. But from the way you’re describing it, that’s a good thing. I’d go there way too much if there was one close by.
Carl’s Jr.
Voted other for Bojangles and Rubios. Very geographically diverse, but two of my favorites.
There’s a local Mexican chain called Armando’s that I’m addicted to. In particular I find myself unable to resist the lure of their carne asada fries. Mmmm.
Post/User name combo FTW.
I didn’t even know they still existed, but while there was one near my home, I got it regularly. Their burgers were significantly better than most fast food, and their fries were breaded (very rare at the time), and the prices were lower, too (for the longest time, they sold their standard-sized quarter pound burgers for a dollar). They kept prices down by not having a dining room: It was all carry-out or (in good weather) outdoor tables.
My “other” pick was Mr. Hero’s, which is apparently at least somewhat regional (I know they’re in Ohio, at least, but I’ve never seen one around here). I probably don’t want to know what’s in a Romanburger (a sort of bastard hybrid of a burger and a sub), but damn, those are tasty.
I am an Armando’s addict as well, though I wouldn’t consider it fast food.
(assuming we’re talking about the same joint)
mmm
ETA: I now see there are Armando’s from sea to shining sea. Nevermind.
White Castle is fantastic if you’re in the mood for them and nasty crap if you aren’t.
I voted Wendy’s. Spicy chicken sandwich ftw.
Anybody else have any love for Taco Bueno? Blows Taco Bell outta the water.
I ate at a Rally’s once while in Arkansas–pretty good, if I remember correctly.
You are a good and right thinking person. It’s a shame more people don’t know about Zankou…but not so much that I want them to start pulling in In N Out style lines. Other local favorites include Fatburger and Tommy’s.
My other “other” vote goes to Whataburger. How could this have possibly been left off?
Of course In N Out makes a near perfect fast food style hamburger. Really the platonic ideal of a fast food burger, so that gets me only real vote.
Edit: Oh, didn’t see Chick-Fil-A on my first pass. I am giving them a vote too. They are so awesome that McDonald’s started ripping them off.
I voted “other” as I’m lucky to live in a town with a drive-in better than any of the above.
I voted Del Taco - but would have definitely picked Panda if it had been on the list. The veggies alone are delicious. I usually get veggies instead of rice/chow mein and kung pao chicken. They had Thai Cashew chicken as a special and I wish they’d make it more permanent. It’s not exactly “gourmet” but they do use really fresh ingredients.
I chose Taco Bell, BK and Other: Carl’s Jr. Then after I posted, I remembered that Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s are the same.
Wendy’s, A&W, and Harvey’s
No Dairy Queen? Oy. Voted for Sonic and Five Guys, but another Popeye’s fan here. I only get to go when I head to Burlington, WA for shopping. Sonic for tots in Ferndale, shop for clothes, they don’t fit 'cause of the tots, be sad, go to Popeye’s for those $1.50 chicken& biscuit things, buy a bunch to bring home, clothes continue to not fit for another week.
Zankou is pretty tasty, but definitely pushing my budget on what I’m willing to pay for fast food. They are the fastest fast food, though. One time, and I swear I am not exaggerating, my order was placed in front of me before they even gave me the receipt with my number on it.
I have to say, though, Taco Bell is still my favorite. [Jacques the Shrimp]I am ashamed.[/Jacques the shrimp]
This is the place I’m talking about. Only three locations, all located in AZ.
Popeyes KILLS (and the biscuits are amazing, as long as they aren’t sickly pale), Carls Jr has the best tasting actual meat, Zankou is just yummy, and I am SO pleased to see Wendys at the head of the pack. It seems sometimes like no one ever thinks of Wendys and I think their burgers are the best.
