I have been on a kung fu kick lately and thanks to youtube, I can dive deep into a squeeing delight watching: Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao in Dragons Forever The spinkick that Jackie does on Sammo Hung -the big guy - is lightening fast. Its so farking awesome, duuuuude. It is an extra special squee after I’ve read Jackie Autobiography and learned that these three attended the Chinese Opera, which was a grueling training program that was complete with beatings and horrible sleeping & food. Gary Busey & Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon, I always enjoyed as well.

Gary Busey & Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon, I always enjoyed as well, until I got into martial arts stuff, which makes this look like a school yard scrum.
The Quiet Man, McLintock**!**, and Chisum were always some of my favorite fights.
You really need to break this down by category. For example, my favorite sword-fights are: Princess Bride, The Four Musketeers (at the convent at the end), and The Great Race (both fights).
If wrestling counts, I vote for the firelit nude wrestling scene between Alan Bates and Oliver Reed in Women in Love. Yow! Just remembering it gives me goosebumps.
If not, then my all time favourite would be Alabama VS the hit man in True Romance. Just flawless. You cringe when he’s punching her around and it’s hard to watch, and then only gets worse as she loses it and just completely takes him out.
James Garner and Bruce Lee in The Little Sister.
On the roof garden of a skyscraper. Phillip Marlowe (Garner) jumps on the wall, Lee does some kick/leap at him. Marlowe steps off the wall, grabs a service ladder and Lee falls to the street.
I love the scene in Kill Bill when the Bride fights O-Ren in the snow. I absolutely love every moment of that fight. The only thing I dislike about the scene is that it is too short.
The music that accompanies, is perfect. I am a huge fan of Rza, who did the music. I find the whole scene just beautiful.
All the fight scenes from Kill Bill’s 1 & 2 deserve mention.
And they don’t all have to be martial arts based right? Rober DeNiro and Leonardo DiCaprio mix it up nicely in This Boy’s Life.
And if we can broaden the entrants even further, say what you want about the rest of the movie but the light saber duel between Qui Gon Jinn / Obi Wan vs. Darth Maul in the Phantom Menace remains the best fight sequence of the entire series.
