What is your favorite Nicolas Cage movie?

I haven’t seen many of his movies, and so I would also have to say Valley Girl. It’s not really one of my favorite movies, and I did not see it until I had moved to Los Angeles - I was living in San Francisco when it was released, and I did not go to mainstream movies back then.

Of his more recent films, this is my favorite. Cage and Pascal are the comedy double-act I never knew I needed.

Of the older ones: Raising Arizona, ConAir and The Rock are on the list.

It’s probably easier to list the ones I’ve seen that I didn’t like: Ghost Rider and Drive Angry were just stupid.

BTW: reviewer’s are saying Spider-Noir is Cage at his best.

Trailer in 2nd post.

For some reason I can’t access the black and white version of it, so I’m going to wait till they fix that before watching.

Just saw it.
Damn-It is my new favorite.

Another easy vote for Leaving Las Vegas. One of the best performances by any actor I’ve ever seen.
I’ll also add some love to The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

I was waitin for someone to bring this “movie” up. I couldn’t get my fingers to type the words!

“Drive Angry” has a great performance by William Fichtner, though.

A man I have watched since his days on “As The World Turns”.

Definitely this.

I would also agree with others that Leaving Las Vegas is excellent. It’s a difficult movie to watch but very good.

I saw that turkey for the first and last time at a little truckstop theater. At the end I blurted out, “you’d think she’d recognize his pecker!” From another guy watching, “that’s what I was thinkin’!”

This is true, but it’s still a terrible film.

Great flick.

But I’d like to see a sequel.
I say Julie has some explaining to Randy about dumping him out of the blue over her friends and treating him like shit.

And what happened when she went back to school on Monday after destroying that prom? Act like nothing happened?

I saw Renfield this weekend. Gawd damn he’s creepy in that. :woman_zombie:

No argument here.

I do think Lord of War is a strong contender and we are, if you can believe it, getting a sequel to it next year.
