What I came to say, but will add pleasant weather, pretty colors and my “birth season.”
Ditto. I love the cold.
In my area, our relatively brief spring. With our one rainy season ( winter ), it’s about the only time California turns green.
Love the fall. The crisp air, the angle of the sun creating interesting shadows for photography, the colors, the increasingly tempestuous weather, the squirrels and birds scrambling for the advent of winter. It’s just a very interesting time of year.
Ever since I moved to the hot Sonoran Desert I have come to have a deep appreciation for winter, even though it only lasts about 6 weeks here.
Fal in Illinois, the best time of the year. Springs are too fickle and often rainy.
I loathe summer.
I hate spring because of allergies, and it is a reminder that summer is coming.
I love fall. You can go outdoors without dying in the fetid, humid air and being chased by mosquitoes.
Winter is almost as glorious.
I’m mostly with Sudden Kestrel on this one. It’s more about change than anything else. Right now, I’m enjoying the change from blistering heat to cooler temps, changing colors and interesting cloud formations. I will equally enjoy the change from cold, wet winter to mild, glorious, colorful Spring. You can keep the heat of mid-Summer and all of Winter, as far as I am concerned.
Spring because I am facing 6 months of decent weather. Fall is nice, but winter is not far behind and I detest winter.
Winter. I love the cold and the snow. I love how all the bugs are gone. I love how I can snuggle up under a comfy blanket with a warm beverage and a good book. It is truly the best of seasons.
Winter - that’s where they keep the skiing
Fall. Not to hot, not too cold, and - barring a late season hurricane - little chance of losing power.
Going by California weather:
[1] Spring
[2] Winter
[3] Fall
[4] Summer
This time of year that’s just starting now–when the leaves begin to turn red and orange. It’s my favorite time to go for walks in the woods. I love the smell of fallen maple leaves. When we had maple trees in the yard, I didn’t even mind raking them up into piles.
Spring by far.
I like summer but the heat does get to me at times.
Fall everything starts to get brown and die. The days are getting shorter and the weather is getting worse not better.
Winter. I hate the cold and everything is brown and dead.
Spring. The green is coming back. The weather is getting better. When it rains its not freezing rain which is the worst weather ever. Baseball is coming.
It depends so much on where on I’ve lived. Where I live now, summer, with no hesitation.
I love fall weather, the leaves crunching underfoot, the lack of mosquitoes, and the scent in the air. .
I have very favorable things to say about the other seasons too, but fall is at the top of my list every year.
I love spring because it’s planting time, everything starts to bloom, and I’m not sick of working in the garden yet.
Then I love summer because fresh tomatoes!
Then fall because it’s so nice to get a break from the garden and all the damn tomatoes.
Then winter because I love to knit and watch a blizzard roll in.
I’m really glad we have seasons here…
I hate being cold but I love the winter. Why? Because everything is dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead.
Summer. Gimme dat heat!
I got that warm southern sun in my blood. Anything under 70F isn’t fit for humans to live in.
