That special time between 5 and 7 pm is called Happy Hour for a reason.
After everyone has gone asleep, and I get quality dope time.
Early morning, 5 am to 7 am. Twilight, around 7pm to 8pm. Those are the times when I feel most alone which is one of my best feelings.
Looks like I’m the lone vote for mid-morning, so far. Between 8:30-11 is when I’m most alert and productive. I like to be outside in the morning, if I’m not at work, and the earlier end of that range is usually quiet and peaceful.
Either early morning when the dawn chorus starts but only if I’ve had a good night’s sleep before that, or around 8 pm on a day off/weekend, when chores are mostly done and I can settle down for the evening.
Fixed that quote for you, Bullitt!
Gotta agree. A.M. sessions are good. Every get waken up Special?
I am not a morning person. My favorite time of day is probably between 8 and 10pm. Everything is usually done for the day and hopefully, I’m chillin’.
Another morning person here. When my kids were small I had no time to do anything for myself, with work all day and then my wife needing relief when I got home. I found carving-out time for myself before work allowed me to go for a morning bike ride, or run, just as the sun was coming up. I guess there are lots of people who never see the sun rise. I like that time of day because everything is fresh from the overnight rest, and even if I start-out in the dark, I know it will only get lighter outside.
Later afternoon through the gloaming. The sun has set behind the western ridge of hills, but there’s still plenty of light.
Early to mid-afternoon. That’s when I get off work.
After the kids go to the sleep and the house is quiet and dark. I can read and hang out with the dogs and cats, and it’s like I’m in this little island of light and peace. Ideally I like 10pm-2 or 3 in the morning, but I try to make myself go to the sleep by 10 on weeknights, since I am the alarm clock for the family and get up fairly early. Grrr.
From about 4:30 to 6am for me. Super quiet… maybe just some coyotes in the distance with the air still and cool. Even better if we got a light rain as it enhances the smell of the sagebrush. A cup of tea - just me and the desert.
Twilight and evening bell. And after that the dark.
