What is your halloween costume?

My girlfriend wanted a theme thing. At the last minute she suggested going as a Catholic School girl. I went as a Catholic nun…'cause the priests ain’t interested in the ladies.

LOL at little yoda. That’s an adorable costume!

Here’s a few pics of me, and my son (Mickey Mouse)

Aw, I love the Mickey Mouse and Yoda- too, too friggin’ cute!

And now, on to less wholesome things. I present what I wore to a special horror movie night at an old theater in town: what I previously dubbed slut pirate. Oh, up close and fighting the evils of the bayou.

Yeah, I’m pretty much a classy broad.

Oh my! Great costume, but I think the crock is just checking you out. No need to panic.

In that third one, very nice, uh, hat. Cool lampshade too!

Today I went to school dressed as a competent person. I’ll be back to normal tomorrow.

I wore my wife’s red knit cap. I used a glue gun and pearls to write “TRAN TRAN” on a white T-shirt in cursive; beneath that, I used coffee beans to write “TRAN TRAN,” again in cursive. I attached a little motor and a light to one of my hiking boots, and I attached batteries to the other boot, and then I used wires and foil to set up a circuit such that when I touched both of the boots together, the motor started to run. Finally, I used styrofoam and tinfoil to create a key sticking out of my butt.

I was six different computer terms. How many can you catch?

Daniel

I had just a shirt with a skeleton on it, not a real costume.
No parties to go to, but I felt like doing something.
Glad I didn’t do more, because I didn’t see a costumed soul all day.

I was Mr. T
Today, I’m just a dude with a mohawk and a fu manchu 'stache

I caught red hat linux, java, fortran, and something related to backend security.

I can’t figure out what the cursive writing or the light and motor mean.

Heh–someone else guessed “Microsoft backdoor” for the key part, which made me really happy, but that’s not what I intended.

Ones you missed:

perl script (similar to javascript), dual-boot machine, and ASCII

Thought I’d pop in to share the pics of me and my son. My daughter, in her Miss Muffet. My daughter and my costumes were store-bought, so slutty as hell – I made the bloomers we’re both wearing.

I went low-budget as a mad scientist. Fortunately in my packrattish home stash I was able to muster up labcoat, multiple pocket protectors and wide variety of writing instruments, scientific calculator(belt holster AND pocket version), goggles, gloves, short-sleeve white buttondown shirt with polyestar tie, glasses with clip-on shades, white socks, various types of cables hanging from pockets, belt-clip multi-tool, bad hairstyle, clipboard and graph paper.

I went as a student :p. I have a plush scorpion and thought of tying it to my head and going as Serket, but I didn’t think anyone would get it - alas, my class on Egyptian religion falls on Tues/Thurs.

My friend was a flapper. Extra points for whoever can name my costume. Pic

I was also a zombie at some point.

I cut off all my hair and shaved for the first time in years for my costume.

Before After

Here’s a creepier one, and these were my favorites of the night.

If you can’t tell, I was Kevin from Sin City. I was shocked, shocked! by how many people had never seen the movie.

Nurse Pumpkin on the left
Does it make my hips look fat?
You can tell me…

Me.

Let’s see how many of you can guess my costume.

WOW! You’re QUAILMAN! Very awesome.

My daughter Anya was Princess Anya from Roman Holiday. My mother sewed the costume.

Does she match her namesake?
