Time flies like an arrow, but fruit flies like a banana.
This is awesome if you use Ahnold’s voice. DO IT. DO IT NOOOOOOOOOW.
I guess I have some philosophies of life which can be boiled down to one sentence. I like these:
Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Do the next right thing.
Keep swimming.
Be careful who you step on going up, you’ll see them again on your way down.
Calm down; it isn’t that bad.
That’s been mine since my first day at Pacific Tech.
I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, “… I drank what?”
Blessed are the flexible for they WILL be bent out of shape.
Mind your own business.
Moderation in all things…
There is humor in ***all ***situations. Find it, and recognize when it is appropriate to point it out…
It is better to know than to not know.
Why not?
Seriously, I love that phrase. Inflection alone gives it a half dozen or more meanings: challenging, questioning, devil may care agreement, careful consideration, curiosity, frustration, anger, resignation…
For me, it’s mostly a challenge to myself. I’m very timid by nature, and prone to say “no” to things that I fear. “Why not?” forces me to actually consider my fears and whether they’re serving me or holding me back.
(It’s not why I chose it as my username, though. I was frustrated that the system kept telling me I couldn’t have the usernames I was trying for, so I typed “Why Not?” And it let me have that one. With time, though, I’ve come to love it.)
Always have a goal in mind.
Sometimes finished is better than perfect.
If you’re too drunk to dance, fight or fuck - it’s time to go home
Everything in moderation. Especially moderation.
Life is not a dress rehearsal. First, last and only time I’ve ever taken advice from a bumper sticker.
You gotta live like you’re on vacation.
Make the system work…for you.
Most unfortunate typo ever! Greatest response to most unfortunate typo ever!

There is humor in ***all ***situations. Find it, and recognize when it is appropriate to point it out…
Excellent! Not exactly my life’s motto, but good advice all around.
“This too shall pass.”
Unfortunately, it’s equally as true of good things as it is of bad…
I gave up “don’t sweat the small stuff” because sometimes there’s nothing you can do about the big stuff either.
My new motto is: fuck it. Just keep going.
If you can’t dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit.
Be excellent to each other.
