I’m a registered nurse, but I only work part time so I can boss all these little kids around.
I am Chef Concierge!
That does not mean that I cook and act as a concierge.
I am friendly, solve problems and give excellent advice.
And a bunch of other stuff.
I work in a clinical genetics and molecular hematopathology lab. In layman’s terms, I mix small drops of colorless liquids together all day long, then stick them into machines controlled by computers.
I’m a chemist by education but but I’ve been pushed (more like draggged kicking and screaming) into being a manager. Haven’t done any bench work in almost 3 years. Good experience… my ass.
I am a high school teacher. I have taught, in the last 10 years: AP European History, English 11, Earth Science, American Government, Economics, and Competitive Speech & Debate.
Personal caretaker.
Editor for a publisher of puzzle magazines (crosswords, word-finds, etc. I’m in charge of “etc.”).
I’m a medical technologist in the pathology department of a VA hospital.
I see dead people.
Well… bits of them anyway. And live ones of course as well as all attendant blood, body fluids, and tissue chunks.
Broadcaster. Specifically, radio announcer and sound engineer.
Wow. How on Earth did you manage to land a job like that? Lucky stiff!
As for me, I’m currently a professional nobody, but looking to change careers very soon.
I ask myself that question all the time! I was an unemployed mediocre archaeologist working part time in the gift shop while I went to grad school. Eight years later, I find myself in a very cool job.
I am a full-time college student, part-time switchboard operator, part-time tutor, and unpublished novelist.
I am a financial advisor/planner. Not what I ever imagined I would be doing, but it has its advantages. Setting your own schedule gives a nice degree of freedom. It took me a while though to realize that I couldn’t take it as a license to goof off.
Public Works Engineer. At least that’s the title. The design work has been outsourced, so I’m really a Project Manager.
Bridge engineer for pay, rowing coach for free…
Kindergarten teacher, fourth year. Today was the first day of school and we had a parade for all the students in the building, k-12. A fine time was had by all.
I’m a newspaper marketing analyst. I tell retailers where to stick their ads, but rarely in the place I’d really like them to do it.
I’m currently waiting for a Federal background check to clear so that I may begin my first post-bachelors job as a Federal background checker. Oh the agony.
In the meanwhile, I sell TVs and other sundry electronics at Sears.
Registered nurse currently working in dialysis research.
Oh, and congratulations, Lsura!
Currently a programmer for a videogame company. Looking to get out of programming but stay in games.
