What is your screensaver?

Inspired by the “What is your computer wallpaper” thread, I am here to inquire what you use as your screensaver. So… What do you use?..

I have a screen saver that I made from the “demotivational” posters from despair.com on my computer at work. At first glance, they appear to be your regular insprirational type posters, but upon further study, they reveal their true meaning. I have only gotten a few strange looks, but most people at my work know about my sense of humor, so they get it…
A few of my favs are:

Motivation

Potential

Pessimism

Mistakes

I don’t know why I find these funny, maybe it is that deep down, way in there, I am really not a nice person…

Steam locomotives.

I don’t have one. My screen just turns off after twenty minutes of inactivity. With today’s monitors, screensavers aren’t needed. And if I’m at my computer, I’m using it, so there’s no need for something pretty to beon the screen for me to look at.

Ditto bouv. I actually don’t like screensavers and don’t like the monitor turning off, either. What are you going to do though…

a slide show made up of funny fotos (sic) someone emailed me…

I forget where I got it but I have one that I think I read about here on the Dope. It’s various pictures of the insides of an airplane, looking out the window, and the scenery outside the window changes as if you’re really flying. Pretty neat.

And where can one acquire said screensaver?..

Ok, you made me look it up…

The screen saver is called “Holding Pattern” and it’s published by a company called Idle Time at http://www.idle-time.org/

I also saw it on Download.com

Hope that helps…

While I’m back in here, I saw another one of my screen savers that I like but don’t have active right now - it takes your wallpaper and “sets it on fire”… pretty neat if you have nature wallpaper… LOL!

It’s called “Fantastic Flame Screensaver” and according to google it’s available on download.com also.

My screensaver is the power button.

Don’t have one. No automatic turning off of the monitor either. If I’m going to be away from it, I turn it off.

I have two nice 20" LCD’s. I’m not wasting the backlights on pretty pictures or oozy computer fluid things when I’m not around. Both are plugged into a power supply in the rack and I flip the main when I walk away from the desk.

A slideshow of 30 or so pictures of Disneyland.

At work, I have a company logo one that I can’t change.

At home, I just have a scrolling line of text that says “Finally! A break from all that porn!”
