What kind of shoes do you prefer?

Live in Florida. Wear flip flops 90% of the time when not at work.

I said other.

Comfortable shoes. Sneakers with good support. Or flats or almost flat. Never heels over 1" anymore.

Barefoot at home. The shoes come off at the door. Socks or those bootie-like slippers when it’s cold.

I wear sandals as long as I can during the year. I have big massive feet for a woman and I feel like if I wear shoes they just make my feet look more huge (more material to be more huge).

Once sandal season is over I go to running shoes because they seem to be the most form-fitting. I voted “sandals” tho because that is what I would prefer to be wearing all the time.

This.
(I hate all other shoes)

Other: Walking boots.

I wear walking boots most of the time. Except at the Gym.

I buy cheap slippers that look like moccasins. Cheap and lighter weight than Topsiders. But it’s true there’s not much support so I put in gel soles.

Sneakers, of whatever brand’s cheapest that I can find in my size (11W).

Most women’s shoes are ridiculous. I wear my negative heel Earth shoes most of the time. Sandals (outside of work) in the summer, barefoot at home as long as it’s not too cold.

Why aren’t boots listed?

I love my BMLs, both because they’re comfy and because they are considered “chic” by the Idiot Crowd, therefore I can get away with wearing them in professional situations.

In the summer I prefer espadrilles (flat or full-heeled) or sandals (flat); in the winter, boots with “riding heels.” At home, barefoot.

The other day I was barefoot in the kitchen and one of my kitchenmates said “you’re barefoot!” The Indian kitchenmate answered “SO?” “Uh?” “I’m barefoot too!” We have a shoes-and-socks optional kitchen.

Boots and other types weren’t listed because I was referring to a specific scientific study.

Either calf-length harness boots or Fluevog boots. In the summertime, flipflops.

No heels or sneakers for me. Well. I do wear heels once a year and always regret it.
