What kinds of pets do you have, and what are their names?

For me, it’s “unclean” to keep animals–they were made to be themselves and have their own life, not to be “kept” by humans.

But, there is an orange male cat that comes by daily for food and some petting. Naturally, I do not “name” him, but the neighbors call him “Tom.”

Two cats, Muffin and Peace (formerly named PC by previous owner)

Cat (tortoishell), female, neutered - “Mud” aka 'Your Majesty", “HyperKitty” and “%#@&!%# CAT”.

Bird (cockatiel), female - “Zeus” (we thought she was a male - had very bright head coloring and no barring on the tail; head feathers eventually faded, and the kicker was when ‘he’ laid an egg).

I don’t know if a horse can be called a “pet” since he doesn’t live with me (can’t climb the stairs to the apartment), but I have owned Bob aka The Wonder Pony for almost 15 years. He’s a 17 year old appendix Quarter Horse (half QH, half TB). I love him more than anything in the world.

Inspector Cleauseau is our 16 year old male outside cat. He adopted us, but sprays in the house, so he’s outside or in the laundry room.

Devil Cat (original name: Kramer, because she used to slide into a room like our Seinfeld pal)

Echo is our 18 month old Tortoise Shell. Fun Fact: Tortoise shell cats are almost ALWAYS born female. Go figure.

Other cats who have since passed on to the Big Litter Box in the Sky:

Hobo
Littlejohn
Robinhood
Showshoe

Dead Dog:
Dirk the Jerk

I think that I must sound like an alcoholic…

Cat1: Seagram–flame point white, longhaired blue-eyed mutt. I should have named her antigone since she’s the farm-made product of Dad + Dad’s Mom = Psycho Kitties!

Cat2: Bailey–This is the name she came with, but I call her F. Lee Bailey–Flea Bailey. I also call her lardo, tub-o-guts and other unflattering names…she’s a grey tabby. I think all gray tabbies are born to be playful, talkative creatures…

Dog: Dixie Daisy Duke Dawg, white-yellow lab 6 months. Sweetest dog ever!

Then there’s the stray kitty under the garden shed, I think she’s knocked up and I’m not sure what to do with her–she won’t let me anywhere near her, but cries daily for her food which I willingly give…Sometimes I call her Moxie

A 3 year old black lab, Morgana (but NOT evil !)

(Not so great of a picture, but a great website. Dogs only!)Bear and Patch

One senile 15 year old mini-mutt named Gizmo.

I have, among various pets, a bull snake named Porthos.

Before you ask, I named this creature long before Captain Archer and his beagle were on the air.

One 4 month old Chow Chow.

What a gorgeous baby, archmichael!

My chow bites the air when I blow in his ears.

Yeah, I know. Isn’t she just precious. We’re completely smitten with her, and so is the entire neighborhood.

As for the blowing her her face, I’m not sure she necessarily dislikes it. She does the air biting thing, followed by a barking while wagging her tail.

Bear bites air and then wipes his paw over his face, as if saying, “AW, MOM!”

Does she lick her paws and wash her face like a cat?

Two English Mastiffs: Tucker and Rosie

one calico kitty: Pounce

one frog: Froggy

gone but not forgotten: Blue the Russian Blue

Murphy, a greater jardine parrot (yay, coffeecat! Alvin’s cute). We didn’t name him-- he’s 9; I guess he’s Murphy becasue he’s green?

I have two cats.

Marley is about eight years old. He was a stray who decided to live under my car until i took him in. He’s not the smartest cat, but very loveable and a huge lapcat, when he wants to be. Named for Bob Marley.

Monkey just turned two. She’s a bit skittery but loves attention. She’ll jump on a stranger for attention, but she’s not the type of cat to sleep on your lap. As a kitten she used to crawl to the top of this dome-shaped wicker entertainment center I had to nap. She would crawl down the rods on the side paw over paw. To me, she looked like a monkey crawling down a palm tree. Hence the name.

In Marley’s pic check out that one white whisker above his eye. It’s my favorite part of my favorite pet.

And in Monkey’s pic, I didn’t realize my vent was so dusty.
Runs to grab the vacuum.
