Congrats Swampy!
Good to know you’re no longer one of them unemployed deadbeats.

With Miller, the headache comes the next day, no matter how much water I drink before bed. Goldstar gave me a headache before I finished the second bottle, right there at the table. My beervages of choice are Yuengling and then Stella Artois, draught (draft) preferred over bottles or (blech) cans.
Congratulations! You’re employed! Now get a haircut and get off my lawn!
It’s very hot out. Someone motivate me to do housework instead of lying around reading and surfing the interweb.
Did you know you can get chocolate covered cinnamon mint altoids? I just saw them at a candy store.
YAAAAAAAAY! BEER BEAR!!!
Okay, did I dream that the McCello guy was actually griping that Patrick Stewart wasn’t singing to him? Anyway, that particular brit is MINE! Just so you all know.
Hi, kai.
taxi, I second the shawl.
I am getting tired of the Outlander series myself. Too much boinking between a couple of old ducks who’ve been beaten up so many times, it’s a wonder they can stand to see each other without clothes, let alone get horny.
Hope everybody who is feeling unwell gets better fast.
Tupug
Thanks y’all. BioTigs what Miller does is start folks off as temporaries and if’n they likes ya they make you permanent. I’m all likeable and stuff, so I feel pretty good about that.
taxi here’s a nice summery dress with a sleeve. What? I think it looks all chic and twenty-sump’n.
Jah crying? That’s a hoot. Course here’s hopin’ that if they decide to make a career out of hotwirin’ cars and takin’ joy rides that they pick another neighborhood.
I did NOT dream it!
DUDE! Sumpin you want to tell us?
Oh, spare me. The breaking news right now on MSNBC? Oh so important, can’t go another minute without announcing it, running it across the top of the page? Liz Claiborne has died. To me, breaking news involves fiery explosions, massive dismemberment, mushroom clouds spouting into the sky…Not that a fashion designer has died.
I have been moderately busy today. I sent two faxes, looked up airline fares, and submitted 2 check requests. Woo. Busy morning. I just keep reminding myself that they pay good money for me to sit here and wait. Sigh.
Any time you wanna hit the bay, get in touch. My sweetie loves taking people out, and he used to teach sailing, so that’s an added bonus. I am serious - drop me a line or call (did I ever give you my cell #?) if you two want to sail with us.
Got a load of laundry going, and at least one more to be done today. I’m also going to try to do one more cushion - I’ve got 1 easy one left, and 2 less simple ones in the garage. I’m hoping to have them all done by Sunday.
Work was boring again. The weather is too hot - it was 95 in the shade when I got home. But it’s stupposed to cool off come Friday. Those of you with rain need to send it my way. My yard crunches…
I need to figure out what to do for supper. I need to thaw something right away. Wonder what’s hiding in the deep recesses of the freezer?? WAAAAAAAAAAAY in the back of the bottom shelf. Dare I explore??
It’s about time, you bum!
OK, fine. Congrats.
Don’t get all fretful - shows are fun! I assume you’re not going to be doing demos in your booth, so you can people watch when you’re not collecting piles of cash!
He’s a WorkinBear now!
yay!
I’m home, home as in on the couch, my clothes in the wash, and real, gen-u-wine, high speed internet connection!
I met Wasson yesterday afternoon for a couple beerverages (sorry bear, no Miller products) and appetizers. He’s a nice guy - and I, yes I was his **First Doper **in real life.
Kinda flattering all in all, on the other hand he lives kind of out of the way from any real major cities, though he did spend a couple years in Chicago. We had a nice talk, everything from this place, to cars and chicks, and work and all kinds of good stuff like that.
Now, I gotta run out to the Kid’s work and have her adjust my watchband.
Adios for now.
What? How could you not fall in love with that voice?
(Oh, and congrats Swampy!)
I forgot to mention - remember the 4 cutco knives I sent off last week (or was it the week before?) Well, the replacements arrived today - 4 brand, new shiny knives with a retail value of $108. Free. To replace the 32-year-old knives I returned to them.
They don’t joke when they say lifetime guarantee!!
I am looking forward to it. We have planned to put side panels on the canopy to try to reduce shoplifting (my stuff is so small) but leave the front and back panels off to inprove ventilation. As it stands now we will have 3 people there, so we will each get a chance to walk around and look at the other stuff.
I had to go to Hancock Fabric for some more silver closures and they had some of those little-girl bead kits on sale. Regular $7.99 on sale for $1.60. They had some turquoise color glass beads I needed, with the added bonus of some little girly charms I can use for my cheap bracelets. If I sell 4 $1 bracelets I’ve paid for them!
My librarian friend called today to tell me she wore the necklace she bought from me and has gotten a lot of compliments on it. My ego needed that boost!
Deposited my paycheck, went and got bad Chinese takeout, came back to the office and worked on the poodle for a bit. It’s making my eyes cross a bit. I didn’t realize that my H hook in the set is fuschia, and the yarn is pink. Too much pink! I’m pretty sure I have a green H at home, that will help.
. . . when you wonder how FairyChatMom got your snail address after seeing FCM stamped on a big envelope.
Two hours to dinner. Do I need a snack?
Mindfield, thanks to your suggestion, I now have homemade iced tea. Proper Canadian iced tea, not sweet tea, which is gross. Tea with a little lemon and sugar. And ice. Yum.
'Night, everybody!
That is all…
<cue sinister music> I have my ways…
So, what’d ya get?
