What Madame Defarge Has Been Up To Lately -- A Yarny MMP

Freudian slip? TMI? Two great tastes that taste great together?

Oh yeah. I went there.

LiLi - I will try and take some good fireworks shots. We aren’t going to be anywhere that there will be a reliable show of fireworks – at least not one that’s guaranteed to be good. I do know that there is always at least one family in the field between my building and the mall that set up their fireworks and fire them off. I may forgo my usual balcony surveillance and set up my tripod somewhere around that field where I can get some good shots of fireworks where I know they’re going to be. Plus, at this time of year the tennis court my balcony overlooks is open, which means the floodlights that illuminate them at night are on, which means most of my balcony firework shots are horribly washed out due to the glare from those lights, so the field might be a good idea. I just hope they splurged on some really fancy shmancy ones. They make for the coolest shots.

BBBobbio - Cool, so you’re pretty much good to go wherever you are. I didn’t know if there was some stickiness over certification or jurisdiction or anything like that. Nice to know it’s more or less a national thing.

Sean - I live in the Greater Toronto Area. Physics, both Newtonian and Quantum, are concepts most drivers here couldn’t grasp if their hands were covered in epoxy. Especially kids, for whom cognitive dissonance appears to be a high school course.

Does this really mean I get to keep Sean Connery and Daniel Craig all to myself?? Sweet!

Last time I flirted with someone here, I ended up married. So I think I’m going to sit out the flirting if it’s all the same to you all.

Yes to all three.

Have you ever tried to come up with a list of your 100 favorite albums from the '80s? And it had to be restricted to 10 albums per year. Well, I just finished my list. Took me two weeks, and I kept changing the order of things up until I submitted it to that website I was writing for but stopped for awhile (pay issue has been resolved.).

I tell ya, I remember buying a lot of albums (on vinyl - you know, those things before CDs were available) in 1986, but I didn’t realize just how many I had bought until I started putting together a list of my favorites (and I didn’t include every one I bought - some where for only a song or two, others were complete stinkers and I can’t get rid of them). It wass a very good year for music for me. 1983 and 1989, however, really sucked. I could barely come up with 10 albums I liked from those years.

I must be used to this TMI thing, because I was eating lunch as I read the details and wasn’t squicked in the least. :dubious:

Yes, he does. Beautifully. And in this case it’d be called a himem.

That’s okay - on Sunday, the rest of us can do the “Ha-ha! You’re at work and we all have the day off” dance :stuck_out_tongue:

**Ali ** and **Meli ** - The only suggestion I can offer, is once you’re all settled in, and the place looks nice, invite the 'rents to dinner so they can see how well you are managing.

Wow, that apartment is going to be crowded, meli and Ali! Especially when all the rest of us women come admire your harem.

And Ali, Papa Tigs came down with a really painful pinched nerve in his neck yesterday. He is now complaining – he doesn’t feel sick enough to just sleep all the time, but he’s too foggy to do anything and too bored to not do anything. You know, dealing with sick toddlers was easier than with him when he’s not feeling well; he simply cannot handle taking a day to put his feet up and enjoy his Good Drugs and just veg without going stir-crazy. Even when it hurts too much to move.

He’s now talking about taking the dogs out for a walk. Even on their Gentle Leaders, I don’t see that happening. Fortunately, it appears that a storm is moving in, so apparently Mother Nature doesn’t want him doing that any more than I do. Otherwise I may have to put my foot down. I don’t do that often with him, but when I do, I’m sufficiently scary that he obeys.

And good news: The doctor’s office called back with an appointment. Which, of course, directly conflicts with the only non-breakable appointment I have tomorrow morning. :smack: At least whiterabbit is available to chauffeur him, because ain’t no way he’s driving, as drugged out as he is!

The amount of flirting and double entendres (or just plain saying-it-right-out-louds) going on in here is turning this place from a nice PG thread to an NC-17! You people start behaving yourselves, now, and that’s an order! <stamping foot>

Damn, I get in here to do some flirting and Mama Tigs has put the kabosh on it. Just my luck.

I don’t believe I’ve flirted even once this week. Do I get any points for that?

BBBobbio you still doin’ next week’s MMP? Just makin’ sure you remember, is all.

Yeah. I’ll come up with sumpin’.

Less a Freudian slip than an extremely unfortunate typo, and it stuck as an inside joke HopsBear uses to club me over my head whenever he gets a wild hair up his wazoo.

Yeah, but who brought it up first this time, huh? :stuck_out_tongue:

Two great tastes that taste great together… this has given me giggles all afternoon.

Well, I did. I also had previously posted a drive-by comment regarding flirtation…
I believe the term I’m looking for is ‘performance art’…

I thought we’d established that there were no Freudian slips, just Jungian T-shirts?

Hubba, hubba…Clive Owen…
Whoever wants him can keep Sean Connery-- I can’t remember why I no longer like him, but I don’t.
Daughter and I watched Pretty in Pink today. I think that movie is missing a scene or two. It seems incomplete. Andrew McCarthy is some nice eye candy, though.
I went grocery shopping and it wore me out. Apparently there is a beat the Friday rush on because the store was packed.
I don’t know from double entendres etc. No flirting here. Nosiree.

Not to mention the occasional Glasserian boxer shorts.

Or Maslow push-up bras…

My my, such theraputic undergarments…

MY BRAND NEW A/C IS NOT WORKING!!!

I am not happy. It’s 81 and rising in the house and the outside unit is dead. This is the system we just had installed in October. I just called the guys who installed it and they say they’ll send a tech out. So, despite what the commercials say, it’s apparently not all that hard to stop a Trane. Mine stopped of its own accord. I am not pleased. Thank goodness for ceiling fans.

Come to think of it, it was a bit warm in here yesterday. So maybe it died then.

That’s all. I’m not gonna complain any more. Till the next time I post.

I hear those Rogerian bikini briefs are quite nice.

FCM I hear ya! When I put a new HVAC system in two years ago, I had those fools out here everyday for almost a month cause the dang thing would not work. Even had the “President” of the local company out here. Finally they sent out the burly (::drool:: ) technician and he got it to work. Which just goes to show… send in the burly guys first… they know how to please me.

Who was it used to get so PO’d when we started talking about underwear? shibb?

rigs, was it the Sean Connery interview where he mentioned thinking it was okay to slap around his woman? I was never a big fan anyway but that was a turnoff.

biotigs, I sure hope papatigs feels better soon.

ali, I think you should very maturely tell the rents the truth and that it is not open to discussion. I’m willing to bet they won’t be as surprised as you think and perhaps not nearly as shocked as you fear.
