You know, the really frightening thing is the search terms I used that brought that site up were: gingham pinafore teddy bear. That’s it. It was the second site on the second page. I decided to quit while I was ahead.
If I could do that, it would make walking on water look like child’s play.
As to the balls, that was a really long explanation. You could have just said that you wanted someone to say that they wanted to see your balls even if they were arcs.
tarra, good thoughts are being sent your way.
**
swampy**, did you get any peaches at the farmer’s market. That’s all I go for. Summer tree-ripened peaches. ::drool::
Jahdra, that yarn is scrumptious. But at $38.95 for a 45 g skein and only 60 skeins available anywhere, you couldn’t wear anything you made from it. You’d have to hang it up under glass or something. A farting poodle made out of some of that would be the classiest farting poodle ever!
OK all, I am whipped. I was so tired that I could barely get the right password to log in here tonight. (And I just had to change the word write to right a few words ago.) So I’m off to be early. I don’t even think I’ll make it to Special1’s morning call, so Good Morning, Special1. . . even if it’s only 10 pm at night here.
no, no. Special1 will be sleeping in - it’s the second day of his weekend (unless he has to get up for services)
Okay - it’s 1am - if I get into bed now, I should get a good 6 - 7 hours in. ::crosses fingers::
Nah-I’ll do the 9th. It’ll make me go and do something interesting!
And I just clicked back on that link and found “Bondage Baby” and that my friends, is disgusting–I’m one to live and let live in the bedroom, but the thought of that makes me sick. Truly sick.
I can’t sleep. Stoopit Albuterol.
I also just got cancelled in a weird way. A friend had emailed me and asked if we could walk (we used to walk to a coffee shop-yes,** MBG**, the same one) this week, but I emailed her back explaining I had been in the hospital (c’n I say it the Brit way…“in hospital”? I love that!)…so nope, but that I would do coffee. She offered 0800 on Saturday morning for coffee. I said I could make it later in the day. She emailed me back saying that she had gotten some bad news, so she didn’t feel like coffee with me.
Ok, so maybe I’m being an ass, but I’m sitting here saying “bite me” to this email of hers. I tell her my bad news (I think pneumonia is bad news), yet she doesn’t tell me hers, just that it’s bad enough for her to cancel ME. (yeah, I’m probably overreacting, but there it is. It’s late; I’ve been cooped up sick for over a week now; and I’m starting to go a bit stir crazy. Would it have killed her to say gee, sorry to hear you’ve been sick? Jeez.)
taking grouchy self to bed. Bite me! Grrrrr.
One thing about getting mad online–it looks really silly. Probably why I’m not good at Pitting things.
I don’t know why, but I just stopped back here real quick and found this. Of course, that’s supposed to be “bed” not “be”. Man, that’s some tired.
**
rosie**, so I see you’re keeping track of Special1’s whereabouts. No wonder you wanted us to get a room. Did you want to join us there?
**Rosie **-- I’m up (and it isn’t even 9 yet  – but not for services. I don’t really do religion at all – if Atheism were a rock, mine would be hard enough to scratch a diamond.
Oh, and how you doin’?
**Rigs **-- Maybe your friend got some bad news of a permanent nature? Pneumonia, while we all know how bad it is while it lasts, eventually goes away (well at least in this day and age it does), generally without lasting ill effects. I’d find it easier to talk about pneumonia, if I had it, than about a frien or relative who had died/had cncer diagnose/you get the idea. So while I see your point, maybe cut your friend some slack.
**Jahdra **-- following the discussion here, I am so not touching that link!
**Swampy **-- you’re flirting with somebody else now? Where’s your sense of loyalty, huh?
Heff-a-roo – Ooh, kinky! :p:D
But see, I’m here before midnight. Hey, maybe I can still get a roo[m] tonight It’s OK, you don’t have to **really **wake up…
And everybody (except **Roo **of course :p) – GOOD MORNING PEOPLE!!
Obligatroy drunekn post! You know you’ve missed them!
One of our friends threw a beer-tasting party tonight - everyone had to bring a six-pack of good beer. I am not a fan of beer but I took Honey Weiss, which I like better than most, and ended up drinking mostly Woodchuck Pear, which I love. Whole buncha people, mostly from our program (07 and 06, the year above us) and while I usually do not like socializing with people I don’t know, it ended up being pretty fun. The party was still going pretty strong when I left, but Saturday is Minister’s Lad and another one of our friend’s birthdays, so I figured I should save my strength. (Plus That Guy and Minister’s Lad were leaving and offered me a ride home, so I figured I should take advantage of it and save myself a 40 dollar cab ride.)
Sorry I haven’t been posting much. Like SCL, between life and the on-going mafia game I haven’t had the energy. I think Nava has joined us as well. We should go for an MMPer win, heh.
Well, if it’s an obligation then I’d better follow suit.
Not being a fan of beer myself I am instead throwing a rum tasting party… and only I am invited!
There is a kind of ceiling mounted light that I am seeing quite often as of late. It is fairly standard, a half sphere of glass that protrudes from the ceiling with a decorative screw in the center to hold the glass up. Meli’s father refers to these as ‘boob lights’, and ever since that was first mentioned to me I can’t look at those lights without thinking it. To top things off the condo I am staying in has several boob lights, I just can’t escape them.
Well, of course we missed them! It’s kind of difficult to hit things when you’re drunk!
Hitting [on] them when they’re drunk, OTOH… hmmm… sounds like a plan?
Good morning, all!
Special1, the first link is quite safe. Until you realize that those cute baby clothes are sized awfully large… My second link is **completely **safe, unless you have a thing for hand spun, hand dyed cashmere, and really, who doesn’t? Mmm, cashmere!
When I read rosie’s comment, I envisioned a cat attached to your face with all four sets of claws, shrieking like crazy - and for some reason, that make me giggle. *NOT * that I would giggle if you had a bleeding faceful of shrieking Lucretia… Oh never mind.
I’m up - awakened by the sound of rain about 5:15, so I figgered I may as well get up. I was already being walked upon by Brandy, and when I got up to pee, Scruffy followed me and barked at me - I knew sleep was futile. So the critters have been tended to, **FCD ** is still snoozing, and I’m caffeinating.
It sounds like the rain has stopped already. Bummer - we could use 3-4 hours of a nice steady shower. From the looks of weather radar, this is the last gasp of the front - rain all gone. Bummer.
We’ll be leaving for Annapolis about 8 so we can get to Bacon about the time they open at 9:30. I’m sure as we drive, we’ll think of other things we need to shop for. I wonder if I can convince my sweetie to get an earlier start so we can stop for breakfast enroute rather than snarf down a bagel as we drive. Anyway, we might be back by noon or so.
And so my weekend begins. Happy Last Day Of June!! Dang - 2007 is halfway done.
Good Mornin’ Preverts! I still ain’t gettin’ nekkid for any of yas, so get over it.
FCM yep I wore shorts when we went to Whitey’s. If it’s warm weather and outside of work I’m in shorts. Tasteful ones, of course. They always go to the knee or just above the knee. Tasteful, modest dress is oh so important. Oh and yes y’all should leave earlier and stop for breakfast.
BioRosie what purty shiny dresses! OOOOOOH!!!
Special1 I didn’t buy peaches yesterday cause I had just bought some from the little roadside produce stand near da cave. Good peaches too. All ripe and juicy…mmmmm… Ima go see ‘em on Monday and get some to make peach ice cream for the Fourth of July, which, as you may or may not know, is when us Amurrkins celebrate our Independence from mean ol’ England by charring meat, drinkin’ beer and attempting to burn down neighborhoods shootin’ off fireworks. Oh and we must also have some ice cold watermelon. ::drool::
Ok, gonna go caffienate up some more. I might even do some eggs, bacon, grits and toast for breakfast cause I’m hungry. Course that means I’ll have to feed ol’ y’all know who too cause he’ll hang around the kitchen and whine til I do.
Heff-a-Roo I would, but as Special1 pointed out, those TransAtlantic fares’ll kill ya. Now if he ever comes to the states…
I got a little over 4 hours sleep, but it was deep. I am up this early because I have to shuffle some stuff around in the kitchen so Peapod has a place t oput my groceries. (They bring it into the ktchen for me because they know I can’t get it up the steps - especially the 2 24-packs of Poland Spring) Once Peapod leaves, and the perishables have been put away, I’ma gonna nap til I have to leave for my hair appointment this afternoon.
Good morning every one. I’m up and caffeinating before work. I think I might mop the kithcen floor today, and vacuum tomorrow.
How’s the head, Haze?
FCM, I’m surprised Lucretia hasn’t tried it. She still sometimes nibbles on Maggie’s leg.
Wow…I slept the most I’ve slept in months!!! Woke up around five and read a bit, but then I fell asleep till just after 8. Yay!!!
MMP OP line-up has been updated…
Heff…forgot to say, you should still read Water for Elephants. It’s depressing in a few places, but overall it’s actually a pretty hopeful story. Not sure how I feel about the ending - it’s a bit weak - but the topic is interesting. One thing that can be upsetting is that there’s some cruelty to animals, but it’s mostly inferred and not actually described (and there’s retribution for it). And the reason so many book clubs read it is that it was the Booksense pick for June 2006, among other things. I think a lot of book groups go to Booksense to look for books. My group picks some from there and some from other non-book-group-y sources, so we get some pretty good variety.
Mmmmm…fresh peaches.
Gotta go find some breakfast.
Back later…

Ok folks, let’s make this official. rigs has offered to open on July 9th and BioRosie has offered to open on July 16th.
All those in favor say "AYE"
AYE!!!
All those opposed [del]get over it[/del] say "NAY"
::crickets
The “AYES” have it. rigs and BioRosie shall entertain us with OPs.
It’s always good to get these things setteled in a timely manner.
Can I have the MMP on the 23rd July? I’m doing something on the 22nd and it would be a good chance to tell you all about it!
So today I was up ridiculously early for a Saturday to go shopping with a friend. We have bought material, thread, binding tape, wigs, balloons, red and white marker tape, stuffing for bean bags and some old lady clothes from the charity shop.
Then I met 'im indoors for lunch and now we’re back home again. I have to go and sort out the car (petrol and air for the tyres) and then we’re heading over to Nottingham for a night out at Rock City, or rather we’ll be downstairs in The Rig 'cos that’s where the good music’s going to be. We’re staying in a local hotel and meeting up with friends when we get there, so it’ll be a fun night.
Sunday we’ll be stopping off to see my mum before we head back home for a well-deserved rest!
Wow, BooFae we have Rock City over here too!
Ok folks, BooFae has gracefully stepped forward [sub]loved that little soft shoe step btw[/sub] to regale us with tales of Merrie Olde England or sump’n on July 23rd.
All those in favor say “AYE”
AYE!!!
All those opposed [del]sit down and shut up[/del] say NAY"
::crickets::
The “AYES” have it. BooFae shall be our hostess with the mostess for the week of July 23rd.
Let the peasants rejoice!
One peasant, duly rejoicing.
This peasant shall rejoice with a fine feast before beginning the day, which will go like this: gym, shower, groceries, home to cut grass do yardwork, sit around and read, make dinner, become a lazy pig for the evening.
I’m psyched for breakfast. I was scavenging and found some cold, leftover bacon, slices of cheddar, eggs and english muffins.
Yum.
Dinner tonight shall probably be the same steak sandwiches I made a few weeks ago, served on a nice piece o’ garlic toast.
