What material covers a cage ball?

Do you know those giant, inflatable balls approcimately 30-36" diameter? What material is the ball made of? Is it a grade of canvas?

Everywhere I look says “nylon”. These are the multi-colored ones.

Or, do you mean those old-style ones (the school kind, usually 2o years old, mended with duct tape) that resemble a basketball? Although I would guess nylon or some derivative in that instance, too.
