What movie/tv program was this? (Soldier steps on landmine and activates it)

I remember watching this a long time ago but can’t really recall many details, something tells me though it may have been a non-English language movie, either set in Eastern Europe during some of the post-Soviet conflicts or the Middle East (pretty sure it was the former)

All I vaguely recall was that a handful of disparate soldiers found themselves together deep in an isolated no-mans-land area of a country at war, it ended with one of the characters standing on an activated mine with all the others either dead or gone as night closed in. The implication was that help wouldn’t be coming and that if he wanted to escape he’d have to come up with something clever himself.

Any ideas?

TV Tropes has a page about land mines that go click. I haven’t seen it but their listing for No Man’s Land (2001) sounds similar to what you describe.

I was misremembering, I thought the soldier was standing on the mine when the movie ended but it sounds like he was injured and actually lying down.
