What Movie Was this? - "Hare raising" scene

I saw a movie and can’t find it with google.
The movie was probably 1950s or 60s. It’s one of those evil scientist movies (a good one for MST3K)
As I remember the scientist had come up with a machine that could bring back the dead. The scene I remember was the scientist demonstrating this with a rabbit. He put a dead rabbit on the table and then after lots of dramatic “science stuff” the rabbit came alive again.
Does anybody know this one?

Night of the Lepus

That’s not it. Night of the Lepus was about was about giant mutant rabbits caused by experiments with hormones.

Apologies. Thats all I got. :o

Yeah, I remember that scene too. The movie isn’t coming to me now, but I’ll probably think of it around 2:37 tomorrow morning.

Could be THE RETURN OF DOCTOR X, which features Bogie before he was, y’know, Bogie; and which has a mad scientist who “shows them that he has discovered the secret of bringing the dead back to life by reviving a dead rabbit.”

That’s the one I was thinking of, I think I caught part of it on TCM not too long ago.

Is this it?

Leonard Nimoy played a military radio operator.
A truck equipped with a public address system drove through the town, announcing, “Attention! A herd of killer rabbits is headed this way!”

It is The Return of Doctor X.

Thanks!

I knew Dr. McCoy was in Night of the Lepus (as was his predecessor as Enterprise CMO, Paul Fix), but are you sure Spock was as well?

^ Nimoy was in “Them!” (giant ant movie) as the radio operator.

That’s correct, my mistake.
