Wow, these are some really cool names, everything from George to Avraham Yosef Dovid.
I’ve always been fascinated by names, because they are so descriptive of a person. I see I’m not the only one who thinks that it’s important to pick out a truly special name.
Wow, I was thinking about this very thing this morning. Since muliple births run in the family, I tend to think in sets of three:
Girls
Charlotte Marie
Claudia Janeane
Daria Katherine
Boys
Thomas Scott
Gabriel David
Aaron Joseph
Oh, and sk8rixtx
On behalf of the International Sisterhood of Katrinas, I approve, but qualify that approval by pointing out that the poor child will have the damnedest time finding the personalized items that are so near and dear to a little girl’s heart. I speak from experience.
Only two fairly solid ones (that we have been able to agree on for more than a month or so).
George Reiner
Lily Victoria
I made the HUGE mistake of theme naming my kids. Both have 4 letter names that start with an L. SO if I get pregnant again if it’s a boy, I’ll name him Liam and if it’s a girl, Lani.
My son will be named Stephen Anthony.
“Stephen” is because of three different men: the Biblical Stephen; a doctor whose first name is Stephen who helped me when I was a child; and Steve McGarrett of Hawaii Five-O.
“Anthony” is just because I like the name.
My second son would be named William Claibourne. “William” is because I like the name, and “Claibourne” is because it is the middle name of one of my grandfathers.
If I have a third son, his name will be John, or Michael, or Daniel (but I would call him Dan or Danny).
My daughter’s first name will be Elizabeth. Her middle name will be Monica, if the Monica Lewinsky flap has died down by then. If her middle name isn’t Monica, it will be Gloria, or Angelica, or Hyacinth, or Claudia, or Cleo.
My second daughter would be named Margaret. My third daughter would be named Katherine. My fourth daughter would be named Caroline.
My name’s Claudia!! I’ve always been quite happy with it. I’ve only known two others in my life, people tend to remember it because it’s unusual, and I think it fits me. My mom picked it out because she hates names that are shortened into something else (Mike, Matt, Jenny). My brother is named Joel.
Well, I did make a promise to my friend that I’d name my first daughter after her, so Ellison it shall be.
As for boys, I’ve always had an affinity for the name Timothy and Jude.
