What nationalities have you never met?

Banquet Bear’s post in the Non-US Dopers thread got me thinking. I’ve met many people from different countries IRL but I’ve never met a Samoan or Maori before. Thus I came up with a topic for my first new post. What countries have you never met anyone from or if you’ve met few others than fellow citizens what are the nationalities you have met?

For the Carribean it’s easier for me to list the countries I have met someone from:
Cuba, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, Bahamas, Puerto Rico.

Of North, Central and South America I think there’s only a couple South American Countries I haven’t met anyone: Guyana, French Guiana, Suriname, Uruquay and Paraquay

I’ve met someone from every country in Western Europe but only a couple from Eastern Europe: Turkey, Hungary, Romania

Only a few from Africa where I have met someone: South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Congo, Somalia and I’m sure a couple others.

In Asia I believe the nationalities I haven’t met include: Mongolian, Laotian, Nepalese, Singaporean, and Cambodian

I also don’t think I’ve met anyone from any of the Pacific Islands.

In going through this exercise there’s a lot more countries where I’ve never met anyone from than I thought. I’d say I’ve met someone from about 65-70% of the world’s countries.

I’ve never met a true Scotsman.

Having nowhere to begin, I started with Europe. I was surprised to realize that I have most of it covered, although I’ve never knowingly met a native-born Lithuanian or Luxembourger.

For a time about five years ago, I had the pleasure of sharing an occasional bus ride with an exquisitely-beautiful Scottish lady in her late forties. Red hair. Green eyes. Freckles. Accent. If she hadn’t been married… :: sigh ::

What was I saying? Oh yes.

I just have to go through the list of people at work to get nationalities I have met: Serbian, Croatian, Chinese, Russian, English, Australian, Korean, French, Indian, Jamaican, Guyanan, Israeli…

Through Esperanto, I’ve also met at least one Finn, Latvian, Lithuanian, Iranian (I met my first Zoroastrian a couple of months ago), Japanese, Brazilian, Colombian, Peruvian, Pakistani, Croatian, Uzbek, and others.

Then there are the Americans, Poles, Ukrainians, Indians, New Zealanders, Vietnamese, and others I’ve met elsewhere.

I’m trying really hard to think of nationalities I definitely haven’t met. Tibetan comes to mind, although if I try one of the Tibetan restaurants in town, this may change. Maori. Malaysian. Indonesian. Small Pacific island countries like Tuvalu or Fiji. Mongolian. Various African countries.
