What needs to happen for the Rams to make the playoffs?

I know that Seattle has to clinch the NFC west for the Rams to have a chance.(Which will happen today with a Seattle win or San Francisco loss,I think)
Assuming the Rams win next week, what has to happen for the Rams to clinch a playoff berth and become the first 8-8 team to win the Super Bowl?

They need:
[ul]
[li]To win next week[/li]AND all of the below
[li]The 49ers to lose either this week or next[/li][li]The Giants to lose next week[/li][li]The Falcons to lose next week[/li][li]The Packers to lose next week[/li][li]The Panthers to lose next week[/li][/ul]

Well crap.

So the Rams dont win the tie-breakers against the Falcons,Packers or Panthers?

I think they win the tie-breaker against the Packers, since they beat the Packers this season.

Go to Los Angeles Rams Playoff Picture for a nice summary of how the Rams can make/not make the playoffs.

It’s really quite a nice site!

Per that site, it seems that for the Rams to make it, they must have the following occur:
Rams beat the Vikings, and
Redskins beat the Giants, and
Eagles beat the Falcons, and
Saints beat the Panthers

It seems I was wrong and your scenario is right. The website that I was using seems to have forgot that the Rams beat the Packers in Week 5.

Yes it is.
Looking at it tho I noticed if the Falcons win the Rams still have a less than 1% chance of making the sixth seed, whereas if the Panthers win we(I mean the Rams) have a zero percent chance.
Any ideas what the less than 1% chance is?

Well there is also some weirdness where if the Pack and the Rams tie, it goes to the Rams because they beat the Pack during the season, but if it’s a 3-way tie between the Rams, Pack, and someone else, the Pack could end up taking the spot due to some arcane rules about 3-way ties.

I don’t know but I suspect that the less than 1% chance involves multiple teams not only winning, but winning by certain margins.

I see it now. On the FOXSports website they have all of the tiebreaking procedures. I’m sure by Tuesday everything will be sorted out nicely.

BTW, great website Qadgop. I wish I had seen it weeks ago.

Doesn’t a dwarf have to toss a ring into a lake of lava at some point?

They have to move back to Los Angeles.
They have to return Gabriel and Snow to the starting lineup.

If they will do these things, I will permit them to go to the playoffs.
