Don’t get me wrong. It was a cute movie. Reese Witherspoon was her adorable, perky self. Something I don’t mind watching at 3pm on a Sunday when the only other thing on is someone else’s football team.

But for the love of all that’s holy. WHO came up with the idea to make a musical out of it? I’m cringing just thinking about it. Jerry Mitchell has officially lost it.

I might agree with you if the lyrics and score weren’t being written by Laurence O’Keefe, who wrote the brilliant *Bat Boy: The Musical *. Who would have thought that would make a good musical either? But early buzz on Legally Blonde has been good, and I have faith in Larry.
