I’d like to know the name of an old (1950’s or earlier I think) black-and-white horror film that I saw several times as a kid in the 1970’s. There are blob-type monsters about the size of a bean-bag chair that split in half and divide, all gooey. They are dormant during this process and the terrified humans can step around them at these times.
I remember one scene where one of these things landed on the back window of a car, terrifying a woman inside. The car was very old (1930’s maybe) and the windows had rounded corners. I think the monsters might have been dropping out of trees, too.
That’s about all I remember. Thanks in advance in the unlikely event that someone finds this to be enough information to identify the film!
