My congenital geekiness came up and bit me on the butt whilst I was rereading Robert Anton Wilson today.
I became distracted when I read this sentence:
Now, for me, a certain fragment of the above sentence forced an ineluctable non sequitur into my consciousness, in the form of a single line of sketch comedy, vanished from the memory of most, but learned by rote by the geeks of the world.
Since the force of this impression upon me was at considerable variance with the total lack-of-connection between Mr. Wilson’s novel and what it reminded me of, I’m curious to know if it’s a completely subjective thing, or whether other geeks will be struck in the same way.
Naturally, I came here to find out.
Does anything stand out in that sentence?
