Naboo.
Risa.
Any number of colonized, terraformed, or naturally habitable Mars’.
Cybertron.
The Star Trek Earth.
And, uh, a shitload of radiation shielding.
Along the lines of Trantor, I’d like to visit Caladan.
Shielding from what radiation? The 100km of atmosphere above you and Jupiter’s insane magnetosphere should protect you from the stuff from outside, and the only radiation coming up from inside should be heat.
The spirit is willing, but the flesh is spongy and bruised.
Me want go to Bizarro World! Me want get lucky with wild Bizarro chick and we spend passion-soaked hours at tea and prayers!
heinlein’s luna from the moon is a harsh mistress. free luna!
:smack:
How could I forget Cybertron?
:smack:
Koozbane. How could you resist a planet that is inhabited by fuzzy muppets that blow smoke out of the tops of their heads!
No we aren’t. It’s after 1983. 8-(
I would like to go to Europa, actually. Southern hemisphere, not northern. And found the New Atlantean Empire. That or be the first ambassador to it. Whichever.
I’d like to visit (but not emmigrate to) Beta Colony, and Barrayar. Heinlein’s Venus from Space Cadet would be a nice place to visit, too. As would Kzintosh.
I wouldn’t mind a visit to the Ringworld, but if I can I’d also grow very paranoid - Pak do not make for nice neighbors. (And you thought the KKK was bad - genetically programmed super-intelligent racists, ewwww.)
No votes for Tellus Tertius?
I wouldn’t mind going to Gethen. I won’t be doing any glacier-sledding, though. And I’d prefer to arrive after the bloody overthrow/restoration post First Envoy. I want to go to Karhide and the Fastnesses.
I want to go to Perelandra, and float on the islands.
They’re not different worlds, but I want to go to Damar and pet an enormous hunting cat, and to the kingdom of Spindle’s End, where the magic is so thick that everything has to be dusted every day. And Sunshine’s coffeeshop. And Narnia.
Too frontier. I know Lazarus Long likes that sort of thing, but gve me Tellus Secundus!
I know they have registered courtesans on Tellus Secundus, but we only encountered female ones. I wonder if there are male courtesans? If so, it definitely would be a place to consider.
You know, it’s odd. So far I’ve considered Risa, the Shore Leave planet, and Tellus Secundus, mostly for pleasurable sexual experience. Guess I have a one track mind.
You’re kidding, right? The place is like one big freakin’ war zone!
Planet of the Nymphomaniacs - from Red Dwarf (the total immersion video game).
There’s something in Time Enough For Love about the impossibility of sucessful male heter… hetarus? Not ‘hetaera’, that’s female. Galahad is talking to Ishtar. It’s in the beginning somewhere. So I guess there aren’t.
