What political party do you like the most?

The one with the open bar. And those little cocktail weenies with the delicious red sauce; it looks like ketchup, it tastes like ketchup, but brother, it ain’t ketchup!

If I were an American, I’d be a Democrat. As it is, if I ever voted Conservative, even by mistake, I’d commit suicide feet first through a wood-chipper.

Democratic. But only because they’re the least bad.

Libertarian, though I don’t like all of their policies, nor do I subscribe to taking their ideas to the absurd.
I just want to be left alone, both economically and socially.

Lbertarian. I do not agree with all of their positions, but they are the only party that consistently opposes abusive and intrusive government both at home (war on drug, lengthy jail terms) and abroad (war and large overseas military presence).

Voted “none”. The GOP that my parents told me about - AKA the Rockefeller Republicans - are no more and current GOP is so completely damaged that voting for one of them is out of the question, so for the last few Presidential elections I have voted Democrat. My home of record is California and there have been those rare occasions that the GOP candidates for Congress have been competent enough to earn my vote.

Registered as “no party affiliation”. For a long time I generally preferred Republicans for national office, Democrats for state & local. Until the Bush II admin, which showed how truely dangerous and incompetent right-wing leadership can be (and nothing in the intervening years has convinced me otherwise). These days, it’s pretty much Dems all the way…with an occasional sympathy vote for the Greens.

I’ve been of no party since 2008. I use to be a Republican but the party moved far away from me over the last 20 years. I voted Green in the poll but outside of environmental issues they tend to be more liberal than I. I cannot become a Democrat as they still appear to be the party of the incompetent. Obama has been disappointing to say the least after a very high level of enthusiasm from me. Though far, far more benign than the evil of Dick Cheney and stupidity of W.

I tend to vote Dem though I have no confidence in any of them really.

None for me … I’ve noticed that birds of a feather flock together

Meh. I try to vote for what I hope will be the healthiest choice for the largest number of people.

Politics seem to be a necessary evil. But to those who take it too seriously it seems to morph into the old sixth-grade our side and your side. And I’ve never found that to be socially beneficial.

Frankly, most of the people whom I felt represented me got tired of the corruption and left politics ages ago.

fiscally conservative want to see the US spend less money, but somewhat progressive socially. Neither party is great, but the Repubs are really losing it these days.

I’d vote for this guy in a heartbeat. Ignore the “D”; I much prefer the “Friendly Fascist” label.

I hate them all. Politics has of course long been about power, but this last 6 years or so it’s reached an epic level. None of the parties stand for much of anything really, none of them are effective, none of them are doing a damned thing for their citizenry. I’m sick of the whole thing, and it just gets worse and worse daily. I almost hate the Republicans more than the Democrats, at least the democrats pick something and stick with it (wrong or not), the Pubs are blown anyway the wind goes (or anyway the money and power goes I should say), and are spineless. Grrrrrr…don’t get me started on all this. If I had my druthers, I’d wipe the whole lot of them out of DC and start over with good choices, and then have term limits (along with a TON of other rules and regs put into place to prevent this kind of corrupt insane government again. (at least not this bad).

At first I thought that said “is so deranged”. Which isn’t too far off the mark.

The Democratic Party obviously since they are the only major party in the United States to support the maintenance and perhaps even some expansion of the current New Deal-Great Society welfare state especially by supporting health care reform and expanding its coverage just like every other First World country. Of course I don’t agree with them on every issue (for example abortion) but they still are the only realistic choice in this country.

I can’t support either the Green or Justice Parties not just because they’re irrelevant currently (except when giving Republicans the election as seen in 2000) but also because they’re laughable on foreign policy and nuclear power.
