What PS2/X-Box game are you playing constantly these days?

I have been playing NCAA Football 06 and nothing but for the past two months. Before that it was Tiger Woods 05, and before that, Mercenaries. Anyone else find themselves putting in one game and playing the hell out of it as opposed to switching around?

X-Men Legends. The first one, not the one that just came out. Best $5 bucks I spent in a long time.

I am going back and forth between Red Dead Revolver and Mercenaries.

Red Dead because it’s buggy saving system has erased atleast 4 90% completed (meaning everything unlocked) games in the year I have had it. I really want to get every unlockable character.

Mercenaries…well summoning an A-10 to carpet bomb a No-Ko chemical facility is just always satisfying. It should win came of the year.

LOTR: The Third Age.

This game is addicting for no other reason than it is a very faithful FFX clone on the Xbox, but with the added bonus that EA has brought to a science to justify yearly rehash games: copious unlockables (I assume a major incentive for the football and golf for the OP).

I dug out Final Fantasy X and have been re-playing it with the goal of finding every last item and defeating the denizens of the monster ranch. Predictably, I have been stalled for weeks on Chocobo racing and butterfly catching.

Constantly here, is a relative term, but I’m getting into Jak II. I never played Jak I, but it’s pretty much exactly what I was looking for. A good, fun, solid, platformer.

I’ve been playing my old copy of Final Fantasy VII, GTA San Andreas, Bloodrayne 1 & 2, and the first Syphon Filter. I like to keep several games going at once.

Have an ongoing game of Chrono Trigger, but it’s been on hold while I whip through Paper Mario.

I wouldn’t say I’m playing it constantly, but when I sit down to play some PS2 I usually Burnout 3. Never knew the PS2 could render such nice graphics and sense of speed, and when you crash the car destruction is spectacular.

I did play that constantly, perhaps more so than any other game in my life. Got 99% complete, and could have gone that extra mile but the last few things (all signature takedowns, etc.) were more work than fun.

NHL 06

For obvious reasons…hockey’s back!!!

Exactly the problem I’ve had with a lot of timed solo tracks and the one-on-ones. It’s not any fun to do them, it’s work.

Though Crash or (especially) Road Rage modes are great stress relievers. Especially after getting home through rush hour traffic

Xbox only

Right now I am playing KOTOR1 , which was gathering dust on my shelf , for some reason I never seemed to gel with it originally , but it seems to have picked up speed conciderably. A game called Enclave which came out about three years ago would follow next.

Some problem child games that I can’t seem to get past the next level would be starwars republic commandos ,cause I can’t seem to get by the end of the level where you have to get the codes that would disable the droid army.

Galleon , cause of some little worm that you can’t seem to pick up to replenish some chicks magic powers.

Declan

I’m still hooked on Call of Duty online. I could spend a lot longer playing that than I get to.

We Love Katamari and Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando. Both are just incredibly fun games.

Jade Empire. Awesome game.

I’ll see your San Andreas and raise you a Vice City.

And Madden 06. I dig the superstar mode.

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. That game has eaten my soul. I basically saw all the endings I’ve wished to, and only have one more hidden boss to defeat, and yet I’m still leveling my party.

…this week, Laharl (level 1200+) broke 6 digits’ worth of damage.

(God, I need a life.)

I am playing Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory now. It has been in the house since June, but I had to finish Ghost Recon 2 first and then the summer was beautiful and I can’t get into gaming when I can sit outside reading.

Still occasionally play Gran Turismo 4 (using the DF Pro). I’ll be taking part in a big tournament in Germany in five weeks. I haven’t nearly finished that game - enjoy driving around for fun or doing online challenges too much. I’m somewhere around 45% … I don’t like the fast racing cars too much, they aren’t bad but not the game’s strong point, and the races take long which collides with me having little time and too much to do. But lately I’m working my way through the long final series of the Professional League with a Toyota 7 in Stock condition. I do have all the licences gold and only need to get something like 2 more Missions done. I don’t think I’ll ever do the 24 hour races. I don’t often get that bored, really - though it is fun that they’re in there anyway.

The other game I still occasionally play is DDR, and I’ve posted on that often enough.

Finally, I recently returned to playing Metal Gear Acid on the PSP, which is getting more interesting now that I got Swallowtail on the team. It adds a lot of depth, playing with two characters simultaneously and having the new cards and gun system.
