What result would make you satisfied tomorrow?

I will be satisfied if the President and the Congress, whoever they may be, decide enough is enough and agree to do the job they were elected to do.

Good night: Hillary wins FL + NC, Ds take Senate (50-50 okay), Ds gain in TN State House and Senate (baby steps; Rs up 72-25-2 and 28-5 currently)

Acceptable night: Hillary wins

That would be well-deserved schadenfreude after Trump made fun of the disabled.

Hillary wins.

House and Senate stay roughly the same. The two parties find a way to govern. Moderate justices will have to fill the SCOTUS. The country can’t wait 4 more years. Another justice might retire or die.

Gridlock will happen anyhow. A small D majority changes little. Except the R’s work that much harder to stop the D’s legislation.

A decisive win by Clinton, as well as the Dems taking the senate. Also, I’ll quote my reply from another thread about watching the election coverage:

You forgot watching the smile fade from Kellyanne Conway’s face.

ETA: And that robot lawyer forever repeating “What election?”

If Trump concedes with little fanfare, I won’t be satisfied. We need some mayhem.

More seriously, I want a Clinton win with 300 EV’s at minimum and the senate to flip.

[li]That the election will be over. No recounts. No court filings. No continued talk of rigged elections or Russian hackers or voter suppression, etc.[/li]That nobody takes it upon themselves to act out with violence - either to “get even” for losing or to celebrate their newfound power in winning.[/ul]

I am only focused on a decisive-enough win by Hillary so that only Trump and his most extreme supporters could hope to claim things were rigged.

What is ex-NFL coach Bill Parcells’ famous line: “Success is the best deodorant” ?

In this case we would see the opposite: if Trump loses by enough that the majority of GOP officials acknowledge defeat, they will not be able to kick him to the curb and smear him fast enough. They will hate him so much for how he has trashed the GOP’s unity, reputation, integrity, etc. that they will sacrifice him to the Politics Gods to show the voting public that they are doing a full reset.

Cool.

Nope, there are already armies of GOP folks trying to figure out how to bottle the Trump magic with voters, just without the Trump-iness.

The scales fall from the eyes of the millions who voted for Trump, all of whom drop to their knees in supplication, tears streaming down their cheeks, crying “what have I done? How could I not have seen? Forgive… forgive!”

This is whether he wins or loses, by the way.

I heartily concur with both of these.

Bill Clinton or Bill Maher?

I don’t expect him to win, but I do expect that if he did there will be a certain modest percentage of dunderheads who will almost immediately have buyers remorse. Rather like that minor subset of idiot Brexit voters that the next day were nervously yammering about how “they never expected it would win.”

4chan posters collectively apologize, saying “We just did it for the lulz! We didn’t think we’d actually come so close to destroying America! Some of us are still on our parent’s health insurances, of course we don’t want that to end!”

If November 9th every Trumpist, Tea Partier, enabler, media stooge and Republican ideologue were hounded out of office, out of their homes, their “works” erased from history, their families sold into bondage, salt sewn where their crops once grew and they themselves gelded and sent swordless into Palestine I might…might be satisfied.

“Cast into the Outer Darkness of Eternal Damnation” was available, but you restrained yourself in a spasm of forgiveness and generosity. Qualities I can admire without emulating.

I can get behind that.

Billy Bush.

I won’t be satisfied unless I get to see the Kellyanne-bot short circuit and explode on live TV.

I honestly have no idea what she will do at the end of the election. Show humanity? When Donald announces the whole system is rigged and he didn’t really lose, will she still spin it and be faithful to him? I can’t wait to see, but am expecting disappointment.
