What’s your preferred lyrics site?

No, I do not want to buy a ringtone. No, I do not want to scroll all over the page looking for the lyrics. No, I do not want to look at a page designed with Geocities or MySpace tools. Harumph.

I pop lyrics into Google all the time, then wade through the various e-, i-, and metro- lyric sites to find what I’m looking for. Yahoo! lyrics seemed to hold promise, but it’s not as complete as I expected and, unless I’m missing some preferences, is a PITA to use (search for a song, then select that song, then select to expand the lyrics…).

If I’m looking for something in-depth, there’s always the band’s site (when they have lyrics) or the well-established fan sites for particular musicians.

But what about the general case? Anyone have a lyrics-site preference or recommendation?

I don’t have a fave site, but I have a recommendation: be careful; lyric sites seem to be hotbeds of infectious-ware.

Thanks – that’s another reason I want to find a reliable one and not bother with the risk.

I’ve had luck with http://www.azlyrics.com/ They do have Get This Song as a Ringtone ads, but they are unobtrusive. I’ve never had a malware problem from there either, and I’ve been going for years. Buyer beware of course.

More recently I’ve been going to http://www.lyriki.com which I stumbled upon through the SDMB. i’ve had adblock since I started using that site, but I don’t see any placeholders for where ads might be.
