What scent do you wear?

Funny? I refuse to go into that place. Even 5 minutes of that and there will be railroad spikes in my head.

My shower soap is Grandpa Brand Pine Tar soap. Smells like a cross between campfire, a baseball mitt and new tires. The scent is strong when you smell the bar, but it wears off quickly on the skin. It’s the best soap I’ve ever used. I’ve been using it exclusively for at least 10 years. Never dries, good for beards and hair as well.

If I wear a scent, it’s something lime-based, like Royal Lyme.

Wow, those stairs were popular.

This plus the Kodiak pancake thread has me picturing you as Nick Offerman.

As well you should.

I dislike scent on others, so I don’t inflict it on anyone else. (I do like the smell of certain scents, but I don’t want to smell them for very long.) To me, it’s just like being forced to listen to somebody else’s playlist.

ask the maitre’d to seat you in the no-stinking section

I’ve had to move my seat at a restaurant when I couldn’t smell the garlic in my food over the perfume of the woman across from me. She assured me, “I don’t wear this for me, I wear it to honor my late mother.”

Whatever gentle perfume remains after using a Body Shop shower gel, and occasionly a splash of “pretention”

Daily (if I remember): Dior J’adore

Evening: Wood for Her Dsquared2

Other: Néroli Outrenoir Guerlain

Hubby likes the first two, but doesn’t really smell the third, so it’s more for me, and I probably won’t buy it again.

I also have a bottle of perfume that’s supposedly Honeysuckle (Jo Malone)

Looking at that website, I want to try this one:

I don’t have any sense of smell, but that’s a good description of what I imagine it to be like.

Yeah. That candle/soap place with the gingham decor. Why are the scents in candles so overwhelming? Gag.

I only wear anything a couple times a year anymore but have had L’eau d’Issey around since the mid 90s. I’ve also enjoyed a bit of Versace Dylan Blue and YSL La Nuit now & then the last few years.
