faithfool, who is like a crazy awesome aunt who has all the wisdom of an elderly relative, an all the hipness of a teenager.
Asimovian, who shares my love of crass humour, and is far sweeter and kinder than he would want you to believe.
Justin Credible, laid back and always willing o recommend me new music and comics.
WhyNot and olivesmarch4th, the ladies I want to be when I grow up.
The Tolkien trio of Skald, Quadgop, and What Exit?, who are witty and intelligent, but don’t make me feel like a dummy.
I have tons more, because I tend to have things I like about all of you, but those I named are on my “Dream Dopefest” list.
I don’t know about the self-confidence, but you SHOULD post more.

Anyway, I like a ton of people here, but I also wanted to third what was said about even sven.
Sampiro He writes about his experiences with wit and humor, and his patience when dealing with everything he’s been through is really inspiring.
olivesmarch4th I thought she was an absolute sweetheart when I first came here, and she’s never done or said anything to refute my original opinion.
TokyoPlayer The love he has for his wife and child shine through so much in his posts, and the fact that he has consciously ended the cycle of abuse he underwent is amazing to me.

I only have just a little dignity, but it’s enough so that I wasn’t gonna solicit compliments for myself. That said, 'Mika, you yourself rock, 'specially when you’re insisting that certain bloviators on the board stop being a dick about philology & usage & such.

Do you have a similar reaction to pitting of posters? It seems to me sad if you think it’s only okay to be slagging people off.
I’ll echo some others and say that I think even sven has matured incredibly in the last few years, and I do mean that in the nicest of ways.
I don’t seek to begin any sort of contest. I do seek to encourage posters to think and speak well of one another; it makes for a more congenial and inviting atmosphere.
Let me another one to vote for WhyNot. Not only does she have the most inspirational name, she writes the most inspirational posts.
Dolores Reborn for giving up so much time to run the Feuds so well.
Diogenes the Cynic and Der Trihs - not that I agree with either 100% of the time, but the boards would be a lot duller without them.
Another vote for Dolores Reborn! She does a helluva job with the Feuds!
My absolute favorite poster is Sam Stone. He is this board’s most valuable conservative.
Other than that, I like a whole lot of posters, but especially:

And just about all the mods and SDSAB members I’ve ever seen here, past and present (I’m not a suck up-- I really do find what they have to say even in their non-mod posts interesting).
Also, Fenris (doesn’t seem to be around much anymore, but he brings back memories of how things used to be around here), Una Persson, and I’m still a fan of Scylla, even though he too doesn’t seem to post much anymore. Oh, and I’m also a big fan of Rubystreak. She (?) is always the poster child of sensible, patient, to-the-point posting.
I’ve been good! I don’t believe I’ve complained once. As a matter of fact, I’ve been reading the “get your answers about the One Ring” thread pretty thoroughly and interestedly. Not a peep of complaint…tho I was tempted once or twice.
I really like faithfool, freekalette, and pepperlandgirl because they are interesting, fun to talk to, and great friends. I also admire ivylass because…well, I just do.
I’ve actually been waiting for one of these bi-monthly threads to mention I’ve taken notice of **Lamia **since we went back to free posting, and really like reading her posts. I also like **jsgoddess **quite a bit.
