I can redeem $60 in cash.
I can redeem $60 for gift certificates from various stores: $60 gets me $75 from Waldenbooks, $120 from Coldwater Creek, $120 from Lobster Gram, etc.

I’m with you on the charging too much on your credit card thing. I’ve got a $120 cash back award coming. I need some new clothes so I’m thinking I might spend it at Lands End-they’re a participant in the double rewards program so it could be worthwhile.
My second choice would be books.
Always books. I could blow through $120 easy.

I checked Cheesecake Factory’s online shop, to verify the Straight Dope ™ on their prices.
A 10" cheesecake is $54.95, and is pre-cut into 12 slices. Shipping by FedEx with 2 day delivery is free.
And yes, jsgoddess, it’s really good cheesecake. If you’ve never tried their cheesecake, go find their nearest restaurant and stop by this weekend. When come back, bring pie.
