A few years ago I posted this thread about what to do with my excess makeup.
I wound up sending the stuff that I couldn’t donate (ie - items that I had opened and used once or twice) to some girly dopers who are into that sort of thing. It seemed to go pretty well - I got rid of my excess, and some dopers got some freebees.
Now, time has passed. My makeup collection has grown once again so I’m just gonna throw this out there - if anyone would like me to send them some of my once or twice used makeup type items, PM me with your address.
At some point, when I get around to it (which could be anytime, really) I’ll send you some stuff. You can keep it, give it away, toss it, use it to paint, whatever - all I ask is that you don’t bitch if it takes a while to arrive, or some of the pallets are broken, 'cus that makes me grumpy.
Currently, I have a lot of eyeshadows in fun colours, a bunch of lipglosses, and some other stuff too. I promise I have no eye or lip fungus. Well, I have no fugus of any kind, actually.
Me! We play this game at the Lush forums! Can I send you a bunch of foil packet samples of stuff as trade? I know you’re trying to get rid of stuff, but it’s more fun (for me) to swap!
Humm, it would be my preference if you were to either a) send your stuff to one of the other gals in this thread, or b) donate it to a woman’s shelter. Not to be a spoil sport, but even with this huge bag I’m getting rid of, I still have a honkin’ big container of makeup for my own use. I’m afraid anything you sent me would be wasted.
However, if you must I’m sure I can find someone I could pass your items on to.
If there’s still room, I’d be interested - I used to be a huge makeup collector, but being a grad student has made it necessary for me to cut luxuries from my budget.
If there’s room for one more it sounds cool.
Two teenage daughters and myself here we love to play with colors and such but we range from dark complexion to ghost and brown eyes to green so sometimes hard.
If you’ve got the time/inclination, you might want to check out MakeUpAlley, where you can swap for some non-cosmetic items (iTunes cards, clothing, etc.)
