What should I do with these antique bottles?

I received an antique bottle collection, as partial payment for some work I did recently. I haven’t counted, but I’d guess there are 400+ bottles here. Milk jugs, liquor bottles, medicine bottles, canning jars, and lots of other unidentified glass containers.

Is it worth finding someone to appraise these? If there’s a chance that one of these is worth thousands of dollars, I’d like to know. The collection came with some price guides from the 70’s, the highest values in the book were around $50. If that’s where the values top out today, I have little interest in going through the effort of selling any.

Anyone have any craft ideas for these? Any idea how to display all these in my small apartment?

The man who collected these spent a lifetime collecting them. I’d feel bad throwing any away, but I don’t want to store them until I die, either.

It might be worth getting yourself a copy of Kovels’ Bottle Price List and decide what to do with them from there.

Nothing else to impart, except that I love your username
