What should I name my new(used) car?

After finally getting my driver’s license in August, and more financial assistance from my parents than I had expected, I became the owner of this beautiful machine– a white, four-door 1989 Honda Accord LX sedan – in early November. I adore my car, but here it is a month later, and I still haven’t decided on a name for the thing. So, in the spirit of a number of recent threads here in IMHO, any ideas on what I should call it?

(Incidentally, the little bindi-looking teardrops are magnets specifically made for decorating cars. Since so many people around here drive Hondas, I wanted mine to look nifty and unique aside from being the only one in the area that’s not lowered. )

When I lived in CA, my Voyager was named Lance. Lance Voyager. The way to come up with a name is to think, “Hello, I’m ______, and I’ll be your car today.”

I suggest Shakara.

Is it a girl, or a boy?

Hell, I’ve had my car for four years and I still haven’t named him! I know it’s a he, because he’s stupid at the most annoying times, but other than that…no name. Give it time. It’ll come to you

Looks like a Fiona to me. You can call it Fifi for short.

I know this is going to sound corny, but—

Sorceress.

Hey, it’s white, I love the name, and if that’s you leaning against the hood, it fits with the personality.

It just sucks I’m not old enough to drive.

“Kristine” is a nice name! Nudge, nudge; wink, wink! - Jinx

Gilligan. That way, when it stalls you can scream “Gilligan!” and hit it.

It’ll come to you, I suppose.

How about Whitey?

You have an Accord? Why not name it Ian?

Now you know why us Moderators have to hide our identities.

Name it…Hmmmm… Ahhhh,… I have it…the name for this vehicle will be…(Drumroll Please)…Rupert!

(Or, German for `Unnamed Car’. Take your pick. :D)

I like this one too.

Give it some time and I’m sure eventually something will strike accord
