What smells do you like that no one else does?

Based on this thread.

Try to think of something special, which is my way of saying NO FART POSTS.

Me, I actually enjoy second-hand smoke off a quality cigar, in small doses.

I like the smell of burning rubber. And zit puss. Really gross, I know.

Second hand cigarette smoke. I quit six years ago.
The earthy smell of dirt.

Hot, melted road-marking plastic.

Markers. Gasoline. Fire.

wet paint. LOVE the smell of wet paint. Everyone thinks I’m nuts.

Gasoline (although I guess that doesn’t count since Mostly Clueless likes it too).

How about car exhaust? Mmmmmm.

I think a lot of people enjoy the smell of good quality (i.e. cigar, pipe) tobacco, but I’m the only person I know of (until this thread) that likes the smell of secondhand cigarette smoke. I even like the smell of old, stale cigarette smoke.

Skunk, in small quantities (though I’ve heard of other people liking this, too.) Gasoline, as well.

definitely ear wax.

Me, too. Fresh paint and skunks.

To me, a freshly painted skunk is heaven.

That’s a sentence nobody has ever written before.

I like the smell of rubber. Especially the pink rubber erasers we had in school. I would stick them up my nose.

I too like markers, especially dry-erase markers. And skunks ( at a distance ). And barns ( that aren’t too heavy on the ammonia ). And nail polish. And acetone. And small quantities of gasoline at a small distance. And fresh rubber.

Add me to those who like the smell of second hand cigarette smoke. Especially Marlboro. Brings back memories.

Rubber: as in how it smell at the tire store.

New tennis shoes

They way the Sacramento Valley used to smell when they allowed the farmers to burn their rice fields.

Art gum erasers. They stink, but in a good way.

Rubber cement thinner.

Rubbing alcohol.

Witch hazel.

Burning leaves (and it’s a good thing too, as I live in an area where everyone can burn their yard debris, and it’s coming up on fall).

Does a cat freshly painted to look like a skunk count?

I love the smell of creosote. On a summer day wood that has been soaked my it really attracts my attention. Probably, it causes drain bamage.

Gojo. The original, not the orange scented garbage.

Skunk. Not Skunk like when one sprayed into my window. Skunk like when you’re driving down the road and you can tell one sprayed (or was run over) quite a distance away and it’s just barely wafting in. (But that may coming from liking the smell of pot). Also cigeratte smoke for me. Not stale cigeratte smoke or a lot of it. But when someone lights up in another part of the house. I like the smell of it when it first starts to drift into the room.

Ink. At most papers (those with printing plants) the smell of ink permeates the entire building, especially when the press is running.

When I smell it today, I remember how much I used to love being a reporter.

I love the smell of cow manure. What can I say? I grew up in Wisconsin.
