What song is in your head RIGHT now?

Iron Man.

Washington Bullets by THE CLASH.

F. Chopin, Etude in E major, Op. 10 No. 3.

“Vital Signs” by Rush. I was reading the “Best Album closer” thread, and this song, which sums up Rush’s Moving Pictures, is whirling around now.

I couldn’t get Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring by JS Bach out of my head, this afternoon.

Currently, as of a couple of hours ago, it’s, Walkin’ My Baby Back Home as sung by Nat King Cole.

Because it was referenced in today’s Peanuts comic, I had “Some Enchanted Evening” from South Pacific in my head for a while at work.

Great Big Sea, Captain Wedderburn

“Never Been To Me” by Charlene. (See the “worst songs ever recorded” thread as to why.)

It may require surgery to get this out of my head. Sigh.

“The Last Song” by the All-American Rejects.

Earlier it was “The District Sleeps Alone Tonight” by the Postal Service.

So far the only songs stuck in more than one head are:

Should I Stay or Should I Go The Clash
Mighty Wind Mighty Wind Soundtrack

I think it’s COOL that everybody has a different song playing!

“Radiation Vibe,” by Fountains of Wayne.

It’s a radiation vibe I’m groovin’ on…

Pearl Jam’s cover of Timeless Melody by the LAs.

The melody always finds me
whenever the thought reminds me . . .

Aranea, I had Somewhere Beyond The Sea stuck in my head about two months ago.

“Come to Me”…Fantine’s song as she lays dying in “Les Miserables”

(just going thru one of those times…mc)

nice thread tho

“Joker” by (I think) the Steve Miller band.

I was just reading the thread on favorite PBS shows, and now I have the theme song to “Boomerang” stuck in my head.

A boomerang, a boomerang
What does it do? What does it do?
It comes back to you…

'Course, knowing these boards, someone’s heard of the show before…

FISH

“Soft as the Breeze”, by Leonard Cohen. Thing is, I edit songs in my head, so I’m currently hearing it sung by Tom Waits.

It’s much better than the Lemmy/Wendy O. version of “I Got You Babe”, or Pavorotti’s “Satisfaction”, but not quite as good as Shane MacGowan’s “In the Arms of the Angels”. The less said about any Gilbert and Sullivan done by Bob Dylan, the better.

Strangely enough, the Cowboy Junkies version of “Powderfinger” and the Bauhaus version of “Ziggy Stardust” actually exist and need no further embellishment.

Water Spirits / What a Spirit - Brewer & Shipley

The original, French version, “La Mer,” is in the credits of French Kiss. Kevin Kline sings it. Very cool.

And now it’s stuck in my head, so this isn’t even really a hijack. Whee!!

Martin Said to his Man

Yes, I had choir practice on Tuesday. What?

Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man by Bob Seger. rock and F’n Roll!
