What Star Wars toys do/did you have?

You got the wrong one. You want “Final Battle” Jango for real decapitation action. (Wondering if some fool who hasn’t seen AOTC after 2 weeks but is reading this thread anyway is going to yell at us about spoilers.)

The story hasbro tells about the articulation is that it’s expensive, and they already blow most of that $6 on the licensing fees to Uncle George. Things are getting better though. Some of the new episode 2 figures have almost as much articulation as GI Joes. (no rubberband waists, but almost every other joint.)

I’ve got the R2 Puzz3D things too, and the Pez. (Kloudesmake sure you pick up the 3 new ones, R2, Jango, and Clonetrooper)

My friend Danny had the Death Star, it was very cool, but the Dionaga creature creeped me out. I had the Star Destroyer, which wasn’t quite as cool, but had the meditation chamber, a cheesy hologram that was supposed to be the emperor, but was really a rectangle of translucent orange plastic, a trap door, a gun or two, and a turntable that could make a figure … i dunno… boogie?

The scary thinig is that I could read this thread if it was pages long. I love this crap.

Keeping in mind that I was 7 when ANH was in the theater, my fav SW toy was my stuffed Chewbacca. Due to a weird mix-up, he was packed up with the Christmas decorations after the holiday, so he is amazingly intact, with all of his accessories. It’s now a family tradition to unpack Chewbacca for Christmas, and set him up with the Teddy Bear Country Christmas Fantasy Sno-Village.

Little bro and I had most of the action figures from the original trilogy, and the Darth Vader carrying case. Sadly, these did not hold up so well over the years.

When PM was released, I realized I needed a little control in the toy area, so l limited myself to Amidala/Padme related toys. I have some still in their boxes, and I always carry a little Padme around in my make-up case for good luck.

Those playsets were the coolest! (btw, gonzoron… the trash monster gave me nightmares! I used to keep it buried under the foam “trash” bits so I wouldn’t have to see it!)

My best friend had a bunch of the playsets that had those little circles with the pegs that you would stand the action figure on and then move the lever at the bottom and they would all turn back and forth. That only ever made any sense with the nightclub one from Tatooine because they sure didn’t look like they were doing anything but boogie-ing! You’d get the Hoth one all set up, guns pointing at each other, everybody battle ready…then you move the lever and…woo! Party time! Everybody dance! Hee.

I always wanted that Darth Vader action figure carrier…mine always lived in a shoe box. In fact, that’s where they still are. Them and this Captain America-type guy who has a parachute you can attach to his back and throw him off stuff. He lives in the box too because he’s the same size.

This is what’s currently on the top of one of my four bookshelves, my nice little shrine. Notice the large amounts of Obi-Wan toys. (My favorite character, not just for Ewan.) Anyway, what we see here is the following (all toys are Episode II unless noted):

Lightsaber; big Obi-Wan doll; photo; bookmarks (tacked to the wall); Lego R2D2; Star Tours mug; my videos of the trilogy; various ships; Lego fighter; stamps; Magnetic Force Obi-Wan; Assassin Droid Obi-Wan; Episode I Obi-Wan figure; Lego pilots; and a Rebel pilot and various droids my Dad gave me from the original trilogy, I think ROTJ. Not pictured is my Battle of Geonisis poster, which is on the closet door.

At one time, I had the entire collection of Kenner SW/ESB/ROTJ figures and vehicles. Every single item. Back in . . . 1984, I think, I gave the whole kit and kaboodle away to a friend of my mother’s who had two young boys and not a lot of money. I was 15 years old, and it seemed like a noble thing to do. Ay carumba.

Now, I have nearly all of the Ep. I 3-3/4" figures aside from a couple I never was able to find in stores. I have all of the 12: Ep. I figures, and all of the vehicles. I also got a lot of the POTF line figures, creatures and vehicles, and some of the other toys like the Beanie-Baby-style dolls and things. I also bought, at Big Fun in Cleveland, a vintage Slave I, out of the box but in outstanding condition with all accessories. Needless to say, all the figs are carded/boxed, although I bought a lot of doubles to have some opened as well.

I have all of the Ep. II 3-3/4" and 12" figs so far, and all of the vehicles. Standing on my desk at work are the 12" Bossk, IG-88 and 4-LOM figures, as well as the new Anakin and Padme 3-3/4" figures. And just tonight, on the way home, I picked up these great new Playskool SW toys.
[ComicBookGuy]Ah, I’ve wasted my life.[/ComicBookGuy]

Oh, quick update…today I found the new Bespin Vader figure, and even better, I found…

…wait for it…

HANDLESS LUKE!!!

Unbelievable that they made this figure which, as far as I know, started as a gag in a Kevin Smith CLERKS comic. Somebody at Hasbro had to have been inspired by that story. Nice bonuses: He’s got that “Nooooooooooo! That’s not true! That’s impossible!!!” look on his face, and even comes with a weather vane he can hang from.

Amazing.

ResIpsaLoquitor, that’s not the first handless luke, although it is the first to be screaming. The previous POTF bespin luke had a removable hand too, although it wasn’t advertised as such.

I’m getting the playskool stuff too. Too cute! I have the empire and jedi sets so far.

Get this: NONE!

I have a bunch of the toys collecting dust in my father’s basement, along with piles of comics and baseball cards (which were stored there more safely). My brother is convinced that after all these years he could find all the parts for and completely re-assemble the Millennium Falcon down there. I’m less optimistic.

A couple of action figures recently appeared at my brother’s apartment: the original Luke Skywalker, minus the lightsaber that comes out of his arm, of course, and good old Boba Fett, which of course was a special “proof of purchase” mail-away action figure and the coolest of them all:D

Among the other oddities: A Luke Skywalker Star Wars glass from Burger King, and a Magic Yoda (like a magic 8-ball). I have to locate the latter; I could use that little sucker’s advice.

Looking up Yoda’s rear for the wisdom of the Jedis seems a tad undignified to me…

Ooh! Ooh! I have the original Kenner plastic model kits of an X-wing fighter and Vader’s TIE fighter. Assembled by me, excess glue and all.

I also have a puzz-3D of the Millennium Falcon, but that doesn’t really count as a model.

Well, it’s always the last place you look, with Chewbacca’s poophole being the second to last place. I shudder to think of the dingleberries

Princess Leia’s tush, of course, would be the first place one would look, although I’m guessing the ladies would prefer Han Solo’s bottom.

“In my ass for wisdom you are looking, yes?”
