A VCR? This is 2006! Get yourself a DVD player and a DVR.

If you want to limit yourself to constant skipping, freezing, and distortion and discs that start fucking up after a year of normal usage, by all means throw away your VCR and get a DVD player. I find it highly preferable to have a combo unit. VHS is still useful, especially if you’re looking for bargains since the tapes are now cheaper than ever.
I’ve seen these. Not in colors, but clear so you can see what’s inside without opening the door. The downside, I guess, is that your refrigerator’s contents and disarray is on display for all to see.
