I was a tepid Giuliani supporter at first… well, that is, I should say, of all of the Republican field, I thought he and McCain were the two least objectionable. He’d done well on 9-11, I thought, and had done a lot of good crime-fighting in NYC, reclaimed Times Square, helped the business community, made the subways safe again, etc. Then I did some more reading, and spoke and emailed with real live New Yorkers, and learned a lot more about him. Now I think it’s probably a good thing he’s not going to become President… at least in 2009.
It doesn’t speak well of you when your two grown children want nothing to do with you. Florida voters seem to have figured Rudy out.

I am so happy to see Giuliani leave. The thing I wish for is Ron Paul beating him in Florida. That would just be the cherry on top of the Strawberry Shortcake. 
I fucking hate that guy. If you’ve ever seen him up close and personal, he’s a real creepy dude. A more corrupt son-of-a-bitch can’t be found outside of Louisiana. It’s funny though how Republicans don’t see corruption until he fucks around on his wife. But this is one case where marital infidelity really highlights a lack of moral fibre.

There clearly weren’t enough evangelicals in the other states. The real test was that no one sent him money even after he won in Iowa, and the evangelical leaders aren’t backing him.

He did something even worse than cheating on his wife - announcing his divorce at a press conference without telling her first. Lots of people cheat, but it takes a special brand of weasel to do that.
