What the hell is going on with my online orders?!?

Between working some rough hours and living in an inconvenient location I do about 90% of my non-grocery shopping online. Usually this works out all right for me but this past month I’ve had:

[ul]
[li]One dead video game disk. That was immediately replaced by the sender.[/li][li]Another game which never was delivered and the seller has been avoiding. At this point I’ve been promised a refund, something which takes only a moment in Amazon marketplace, that has still not been performed.[/li][li]I received the completely wrong book from one seller. They sent a new copy. Then over a week later I got a second copy of the correct book from them.[/li][li]Another seller provided the wrong book. They didn’t have a copy of the book I ordered.[/li][li]One seller took thirteen days between the point I ordered and the point they shipped. I was about to ask about the status of the order when I received notification that they had finally shipped it. Adding insult to injury they took thirteen days to process the order and then sent it media mail.[/li][/ul]

And that doesn’t even get into an order from just over a month ago where someone was gluing RFID tags in the middle of pages inside the book. Or how it took days for paypal to reject payment on a hardware order I was arranging for someone (not my account fortunately but it’s my headache).

I’ve never had problems like this before and this past month it’s just been ugly.

I hope the delivery driver won’t be scared by my dog looking-barking (hopefully) out the window.
I left a note taped to a box, just drop the boxes off.
Been trying to get hand lawn sicycles all Summer.
also a replacement mower,

never run over sticks with lawnmower, they can get inside and damage height adjusting wire- causing jacked up deck-drags ground

JSG, are all your purchases from the same place - Amazon Marketpalce?

No but it’s convenient for a good portion of my entertainment purchases. There’s a seller through abebooks.com who fixed their problem immediately, instocktrades.com who took two weeks to process the order, gamestop.com who sent a bad disk and had a replacement in my mailbox two days later so it’s easy forgive, and gohastings.com who sent me the wrong volume in a multibook series and then didn’t have the one they listed.

I ordered a few things through Amazon and they were all fine, I might suggest only use Paypal if you fund it solely through a credit card. That way you can dispute any unsatisfactory items you get.

I have found that it takes a week or more to get orders from online vendors now. Before, it was only a couple of days. Maybe more people are shopping online.
