What the hell is this?! (Japanese TV-related and damned funny)

I was poking about on YouTube and I found this video (warning: probably NSFW – the first two segments borderline; the third definitely out) and I demand an explanation.

It’s some sort of English lesson thing, and after watching the first segment, I was slightly puzzled and amused. When I saw the phrase* in the second, I quite literally sent my drink out of my mouth.

Explain this to me, please.

*“I give good head!” I think it’s the delivery of it that kills me.

I dunno, but I think that if that’s how they teach English there, I’m moving to Japan!

I saw this labeled as english instructions to japanese prostitutes that cater to english speaking businessmen/tourists.

She sounds a lot like the Korean bar girl that came up to me in Guam week before last.
Same teacher maybe? :dubious:

I likeed all the declensions she did for the one phrase. Especially her grandmother. Why would even a prostitute say something like that?

You’ll notice that’s from ebaum’s world. That’s a joke and game site, IIRC.

…and Toshi seems to be one busy guy… with an English fetish… But yes, this looks more like a gag or parody type of thing.

There are a plethora of Copulational English educational options available to the earnest student.

I feel sorry for Toshi.

I don’t believe they originated it. I’m figuring whoever posted it on YouTube stole the video from them.

That’s a laugh. Ebaum’sWorld is notorious for stealing other people’s content (even removing watermarks from flash animations,) sticking their own watermark on it, giving no credit, and profiting by advertising sales from the traffic they get from ripped-off content.

The most entertaining primer on the situation is right here. (Flash animation.)

This is a joke, of course, but done well. The spoken Japanese is right on, so it’s got to be done by people who are fluent in both languages. The woman has to have spent some time abroad. She’s completely bilingual, and I would have to see more material or spend more time with her to determine this.

Really, honey, it was just research for the SDMB, really, I swear.

There are a few minor nickpicks, which I’m sure are intentional and part of the joke. The costume is not Japanese. It looks almost like a kimono but isn’t. The hair style is an exagguration.
