For me it’s often exactly 1:15. I’m not sure why this is, but I’ve noticed it’s true.
3:15 AM for the simple reason that the bars close at 3AM.
At about 11:30 I have to decide: go home now or wait until the trains start running again tomorrow morning? So I usually come home at either 12:30 or 7:00.
–sublight.
The latest ever was at 4am, after a long night of Super Mario Bros. 3 on the NES. Usually, though, it’s 1am.
1:15 is late? I’d say 1:15 is early and 3 or 4 is late.
I’ve been known to stay out 'til dawn on occasion, though not as often as I used to.
The bars here close at 1am so usually around 3am. (It’s important to go get pancakes after a night of drinking.) If I’m up in Chicago, it can be closer to 4 or 5am.
I got home at 11:30 pm last Friday. Both my SO and my son were aghast “where ** were ** you???”.
About 9:30.
Late is not coming home at all and going straight to work or school. I did that way too many times.
New parent here and guy who starts work at 7AM…
9:30 or, if I’m feeling wild, 10PM.
I quote from “I’m an adult now” by the Pusuit of Happiness.
I can stay out all night whenever I want
But I don’t want to very often
What if you work a third-shift job?
Then what is late?
My friend who worked third shift stayed out with me until 6:00 pm. That’s when he wakes up in the morning, ordinarily.
Jeez. When I was in my 20s, I’d stay out till the clubs closed down around 3:00, and get the last stagecoach back home by dawn.
Now I try to get to the bus station in New York before the 11:30 bus leaves for Joisey. When I’m in New Orleans later this month, though, I don’t plan to get home at all, except to freshen up my lipstick from time to time.
I remember staying up on Friday night/Saturday morning almost routinely until it was starting to get light out. Several times when I was at school in Indiana, we all knew it was time to call it a night when we heard the morning newspaper thud against the door.
If I tried that now, I swear it would be days before I recovered.
I live in a dorm and usually spend my nights outside or in someone else’s room. When I stay out really late I usually end up back in my room around 6 am because my friends have 8 am classes and that gives them enough time to take a shower and get breakfast before class.
On a night where I didn’t crash out where I was and stayed up the whole night, 7AM is the latest I’ve ever come home. Ordinarily, though, 2:30 is more common, since it usually takes me 15-20 minutes to get home after last call.
2-2:30ish. No real reason, it just usually works out that way.
