I was talking with a friend last night about bedtimes. We live in the Southwest, and prime time for TV is 7-10. We both go to bed shortly after 10, or 10:30 if we watch the news. I said I thought if we lived back east, where primetime is 8-11, we’d go to bed at 11, and that would be normal for us. He said no, he’d still go to bed at 10. But I think that we would think of 10 as early, like we do 9 here.
What time do you go to bed and what time zone are you in?
12-12:30ish, Central Time Zone. Recently migrated from the Eastern Time Zone, where it was pretty much the same and based somewhat on TV schedules and on the principle that no self-respecting college student goes to bed before midnight. Now the TV’s an hour earlier, but bed time is determined more by the clock.
EST here.
Between 1:00 AM and 2:30 AM Sunday though Thursday nights, and between 3:00 and 4:00 on Friday and Saturday nights (or, technically, Saturday and Sunday mornings).
Whenever I pass out from exhaustion. And I’m serious. I have no specific time. It might be 10pm, 2pm, 2am, 7am, 6pm… and oftentimes, not at all in a 24 hour time period.
PST. I’m from AST, but I’ve been like this pretty much all my life.
My wife and kid are out of town. I’ve noticed that I’m turning into a “Were-Man” and staying up till 4am watching really poor movies, then sleeping in till around 10am (kid usually gets me up at 6-7). Kinda throwing my who chi off. Not regular, don’t eat, haven’t shaved in days…
