Exactly! For the last couple years, my Christmas giving has consisted largely of canned stuffs.
Another excellent idea.

As my wife has gone crazy with canning and making jam… I have a lot of experience with this.
All of the above.
Also… did you attempt to strain out the blackberry seeds or leave them in? We leave the seeds in since they don’t bother us but I was curious what others do.
Or in a shake.
Roast duck.
Mixed into porridge/oatmeal.
Cut with vinegar as a dressing on a salad which includes blue cheese.
Bacon sandwiches.
I did both. The first batch, I strained (I thought it was going to be a syrup) and nearly all the seeds were strained out. The second batch I lightly strained.
I LOVE the seeds.
Oh, and I bought some ribs, so tomorrow it will be blackberry jam BBQ ribs. Yum.
Stir a couple tablespoons into a pound of ground beef for burgers. No one will be able to place the flavor.
If you make either pork or beef or lamb pot roasts, you can add the jam to the water along with wine and bouillon. I’ve used whatever flavor jam is in the fridge and it always turns out yummy.
