What tune is running through your head?

Gahhhh! I sat at the desk all day with Cheech the Schoolbus Driver going through my head! It’s a cool song, but I had to keep consciously reminding myself not to laugh while checking out the patrons’ books!

The Flame Still Burns, by Jimmy Nail, from the movie Still Crazy.

“And the flame still burns,
It’s there in my soul for that unfinished goal
And the flame still burns,
From a glimmer of then, it lights up again
In my life.”

I just LOVE this song, so it’s not so bad having it stuck in my brain!

I’ve got “Music to Watch Girls By” by the Bob Crewe Generation rattling around in my skull. It was in my iPod rotation this morning and it’s been in my head ever since.

Robin

Currently? Thanks to some very bad people, Mahna Mahna is what I seem to find myself humming all the time, these days.

“For Real” by Okkervil River.

The Prozak for Lovers cover of Rebel Rebel.

“Dark Chest of Wonders” by Nightwish. It’s been at least six months since I heard it. wtf?

a mosquito/my libido

Right now, it’s Signs, by Tesla, their remake of the Average White Band song. It was playing on the radio when I drove home from the store earlier this evening.

For most of last week, and up until the aforementioned car trip, it was Jumper, by Third Eye Blind

Same as it has been for a month. Sh-boom Sh-boom, off the Cars soundtrack.
Side effect of having the movie on heavy rotation in the Foolie house.

You have to love a song with lyrics like “hey nonny ding dong…”

A piano piece I am in the middle of composing.

Burning Down the House – Talking Heads

Was I? - not Madeleine Peyroux’ recording, either, but a charmingly lead-footed 1932 version by an RCA studio band.

The theme song to the old cartoon Beverly Hills Teens, thanks to another message board thread reminding me of that show.

Damn them.

Lost Case of Being Found by Scott Biram

Do I get some kind of prize for hearing in my head the oldest song so far? It’s a Rodgers and Hart tune as sung by Ruth Etting during World War II; Ten Cents a Dance.

Bad Religion “The Gray Race”.

Due to the ‘Gray’ Rape thread. That was the first thing I thought of when reading that thread title.

Flagpole Sittah by Harvey Danger…as usual.

Spiderpig, Spiderpig,
Does what ever a spiderpig does.
Can he swing, from a web?
No he cant, he’s a pig.
Somebody help me.

The theme tune from “Shaun the Sheep”. I think I need help.
