Of all the TV shows that have been on over the years (comedy, drama, crime, variety, etc.), on which one would you have liked to be a one-time guest star? This question occurred to me today while I was watching season three of The Muppet Show. I’ve never seen a show where the guests seemed to be having so much fun. I am sure there was a lot of hard work involved, but still… I think I would have to choose that show. What about you?
Second on The Muppet Show. Everything I’ve ever read from their guest stars is it was a lot of fun(and work).
Many of the star turns required the guest to have a sense of humor about themselves and they all came through.
I’ve occasionally hankered with the idea of appearing on Deep Space Nine as a Ferengi; a six-foot, 250lb Ferengi that would deck Worf with one punch. This is just because it irritated me how the various species on post-TOS shows were overly stereotyped.
For comedy, it’s gotta be Saturday Night Live. Preferably with Skald’s time travelling device, so adult Oak could perform with the 70s cast–Belushi, Akroyd, Chase, Murray, Morris, Radner, Curtain, Newman, et al
For Sci-fi, Babylon 5. BSG was considered, but I’d have to beat Ron Moore to death with a battlestar or something, and that could lead to inconvenience.
