What TV spinoffs would you like to see?

Or better yet, set in the mid-80s, telling Vera’s story while Norm’s at the bar.

A “24” season revolving around President Aaron Pierce

I could go for this, too. The only other show that has any characters that I could accept spinoffs for would be Boardwalk Empire and Chalky or Richard, with a possible Van Alden as well.

The Sopranos is too far in the past to get a good spinoff for, and the whole cast of Justified could be transplanted to other shows if/when the main show goes sour. I just hope that never happens.

Other characters I really like, but don’t think they have what it takes to support a new show, would be Cho from The Mentalist, Kalinda from The Good Wife and maybe the two guys from Terriers if they’d just bring that show back as it was.

The Creed Bratton Experience

I’d like to see a spinoff of Terra Nova that had dinosaurs in it!

I’ve been waiting ages for a Star Trek that’s set in the Academy.

Van Alden practically does have his own “spin-off”. He went almost an entire seasons without interacting with the main cast.

Dammit how come this is the first I have ever heard of that?

That’s all we need. More teens in Star Trek. Wasn’t Wesley enough of a lesson to everyone?

I always wanted to see a Star Trek show featuring the equivalent of a USO troupe going around entertaining Star Fleet crews, and getting caught up in various emergencies or conflicts.

Riveting!

I’d like to see Law & Order: Before Miranda, with a young Lenny Briscoe and his rookie partner John Munch busting a young Jack McCoy for shoplifting.

Star Trek: Klingon Home World - Worf moves to Klingon and is both a native and a fish out of water as he tries to run a small insurance agency.

I would like to see a spinoff about a small-time trading vessel in the Star Trek universe, trading in dangerous areas with dangerous people but without the kind of security that comes with being an armed Federation warship. Sort of Serenity meets Star Trek, though to tell the truth I was thinking more of Andre Norton’s “Solar Queen” stories. Harcourt Fenton Mudd, of course, would be the captain.

Crisis on Centaurus also featured Mr. Cogley, although it wasn’t a Perry Mason style mystery.

I’d love to see a show set in a retirement community where a group of old folks become friends with “the last group of people I ever thought I’d make friends with… and I was right”.
Residents of the retirement community include widowed psychologist Bob Hartley, retired detective Barney Miller and his wife, curmudgeonly ancient journalist Lou Grant, and sexpot former waitress Alice Hyatt from Phoenix (who Barney mistakes for a former co-worker).
And Patrick Stewart as a man who swears that he’s really a starship captain who’s been beamed here and lived for 50 years among these people.

And perhaps Barney could visit the world’s oldest living former detective, 107 year old Phil Fish.

I’d like to see a Burn Notice spinoff with Jesse and Sam running a bar and helping people that are in trouble. It would be less serious, like BN was the first couple of seasons, with Michael and/or Fi stopping by once in a while.

I’d like to see a spinoff of the recent BSG series that focuses on the first Cylon war, not the crappy thing they did instead.

The “Han Solo” route with Thadiun Okona could be better.

Potsie’s Kids…a 20-year later spin off of Happy Days with Potsie Webber as a single father of two one of whom looks a great deal like Ralph Mouth.
