What video games are you playing currently?

I ended up buying Company of Heroes 2 and playing the beta. I’m loving it…played almost non-stop over the weekend. Haven’t tried a human opponent yet, but been playing on hard to expert AI opponents and having a blast, especially in the larger games. I hope the beta goes until the game launches (in June sometime IIRC).

Wow, I really suck at Starcraft! First time playing one-on-one against another human this past weekend. Was totally destroyed. Well, Bioshock soon…

I gave up StarCraft multiplayer for the same reason. I was much, much better at StarCraft 1.

Was grinding through Mass Effect 3 (with a ME2 savegame I downloaded from the web) playing a MaleShep Soldier with a sniper rifle and an affinity for headshots whenever possible (aka “Call of Mass Effect”) but then Early Access for supporters of Neverwinter started up this weekend, and my husband and I have been playing with that since then.

Played Terraria for about a week since my son got it for his PS3 and watching him put me into the mood to dust it back off. A week later, I was done and feeling bored with looking for adamantite so that’s it for Terraria. Now I’m playing Borderlands 2.

Final Fantasy X
Civilization IV
Resident Evil IV

Haven’t purchased a new console since the Gamecube. Haven’t bought a new computer game since Civ IV. Still happy as a clam.

I’ve had Torchlight 2 for a while after picking it up during a Steam sale and just started playing it (with a few mods from the Steam Workshop).

Awesome game. I played through Diablo III but got bored after the first run and didn’t bother with playing it any further but TL2 is just a ton of fun.

I keep dipping back into **Defense Grid: The Awakening **for a tower defence fix.

Also have Sang Froid - Tales of the Werewolf (RPS review) which looks like fun as well.

I recently finished the game too; How do you reset the the camps? (PS3) I don’t recall seeing an option for that.

Do you not follow the story line when you play? I’m pretty sure it’s your brother that you have to get to a helicopter. I hope you don’t consider it a spoiler to let you know that there are two possible endings. Of course I won’t tell you what either of them are; but be sure to take advantage of the opportunity to manually save the game when you get near the end. There’s a point in the game where you can no longer manually save; and you’ll have to play it out. You can quit the game and pick up where you left off; but you can’t manually save. You’ll know when the moment is right because you get a warning saying something like “are you ready to continue?” Say “no,” and manually save the game. then you can answer “Yes” so you have a save point for checking out the ending you didn’t choose the first go around.

Not to mention the cool puzzles. For example for you to ‘see’ the world you have to climb to the top of a radio tower and flip a switch. Each radio tower is a puzzle on how to get to the top. Some are easy; some not so much; but they’re all a little different. It also has crafting; which I really like. Assassin’s Creed III tried to implement crafting, but did a poor job of it; in Far Cry 3, you craft for a reason. It’s pretty cool.

Civ IV

Just finished playthroughs of Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas.

Oh yeah, I follow the storyline, but I don’t really care about the people. He’s just this guy, you know?

Thanks for the tip on the save point. I’ll use it.

REALLY should finish that game up.

Any Portal 2 players out here? That seemed like a nice light diversion now that I’m done with Far Cry 3 (except for collecting the MILLIONS of treasures).

Loved, loved, loved Portal 2. But I played through it twice already. I don’t know if I could stand a third. I was playing a little co-op with my daughter, though, that was incredibly fun too.
Lately … as a result of my move, my digging up a bunch of old games and systems, and my current lack of cable and internet at home … I’ve been getting into some old PS2 games: Spiderman 2 and especially The Warriors (oh, how I wish they’d upgrade that for PS3!).

I picked up Stealth Bastard Deluxe. Cool little puzzle game. It was on sale on Steam as of last night when I bought it. Can get quite difficult, but it’s very satisfying when you beat a level.

Torchlight 2 is my favorite.

I took a break from D3 in frustration because with my Level 58 Barb in Hell it was getting hard to the point of not being fun. The magic packs were just slaughtering me. It was taking hours just to get from checkpoint to checkpoint. But they’ve since patched the game to rebalance it, and I think they did a really good job on the patch. So now I’m into D3 again.

I finished the Mass Effect 1->2->3 trilogy, playing with a goody-goody male Shepard, so I started all over again with a face-punching female Shepard in Mass Effect 1.

I picked up the entire Jedi Knight series during Steam’s weekend sale. I’m currently working through Jedi Academy, which I thought was the first game in the series, and just realized it’s the last. Oops.

I have ten days with no classes beginning today so it might finally be time to try Morrowind. Do I need to play Oblivion first?

Morrowind comes before oblivion.

Oops. Well, do I need to play Morrowind first?
