I just started Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy for the PS2, a birthday present from my mom. I am only 1 hour in, but so far, it seems far less inspired than the original Mana Khemia. Sigh.
On the DS, I’m working on Atelier Annie, though I got a bit discouraged when I realized just how much work I was going to have to put in to get the best ending.
My friends are playing Fallout, World of Warcraft, Oblivion, and Skyrim. Oh, and a little Diablo 3.
I’m playing the Sims 3 on XBox as Walter White from Breaking Bad. He and Skyler just had Walt Jr., but between Walt’s narcissism and his life wish to become a master criminal, their marriage isn’t doing so well. It started off as a joke, but it’s actually kind of nice to be able to check in on the Whites now that I’ll have to wait 10 months for the final season.
I gave Walt a buzz cut then made his hair flesh tone to get the bald look, but that caused Walt Jr. to be born with blonde hair. Oh well. I should make Hank and Marie next, maybe even Jesse and his big, empty house.
I’m playing some League of Legends with my friends, but I’m mainly playing Psychonauts. I bought it on Steam a while ago, but got frustrated with trying to play a 3d platformer with WASD. I finally got ahold of a wired 360 controller to use, and am really enjoying it. Psychonauts is a great game.
I’m working on finishing up Forza 4 (almost 100% complete after months of grinding it out) and getting spun back up on Black Ops in anticipation of Black Ops 2. I try to dabble a bit in Battlefield 3 and MW3 but I didn’t care for either of them, Battlefield because of the annoying controls and MW3 because Infinity Ward’s COD games pale in comparison to Treyarch’s in graphics, gameplay, and overall polish.
Alice: Madness Returns. “Madness” is about right for describing me playing a 3D platformer these days; thank God my lives are unlimited. I think I’m 40-50% done at 8 hours in, six of which were probably spent watching me explode into a cloud of butterflies. Beautiful game though and interesting enough to keep me moving forward.
Got The Secret World the other day but only got as far as making a character and doing the initial introductory mission.
I’ve dusted my copy of Heroes of Might and Magic V ; because I realized I had never actually finished the expansions. When I don’t have long stretches of time to play however, it’s time to try and become King of Dragon Pass again. Just one more [del]turn[/del]season.
Still Dota 2. Will probably start playing Mount and Blade soon or Tribes Ascend.
I’m rather hampered by my computer at the moment, though. The hard drive is almost full, it’s old, and it sometimes overheats during the summer in periods of long gaming.
I enjoy the Lego games quite a bit and have just started this one on the PC. Having just finished Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4, I have to say how disappointed at how glitchy the PC version of that game was. Hoping for more stable Pirates game.
Guild Wars 2 mostly, with a little Diablo 3 thrown in when I’m in a smashing-stuff mood. I’ve been playing around with modding for the Sims 3 when I need quiet time. I might go back and play Skyrim for a while since GW2’s world is not as fun to explore as I’d hoped it would be.
The PS3 and my DS are both gathering dust. My husband uses his DS to play sudoku. The Wii and its games are all packed up and ready to donate to the Ronald McDonald House next time we go to Rochester.
The past couple of days I’ve been playing mostly Sim City 4. I also have a Crusader Kings II game on the go, and have been playing a bit of WoW since the patch.
Have you found a workaround for that crash bug? Every time I try to play for more than a few minutes the damn game crashes to desktop. The worst part is that sometimes the act of trying to save the game causes the CTD.
I’ve been playing Skyrim to the exclusion of all other games for a while now. A bit obsessively, actually. I’m trying to get the last few non-plot-locked words and master all the schools of magic. Not that I actually use magic, much, aside from some utility spells. (I “cast” explosive crossbow bolts, and things mostly die instantly; what do I need spells for?) I just want to do the Master quest bits for the college.
Juuust finished Space Marine. Fun game, but WOW the Warhammer40k universe is depressing if you stop to think about it. And yet I keep coming back…Jophiel how is the Secret World? It looks interesting.
